The manga has superior art style and story, no question about that. the art is so detailed with a ton of gorey images, i love it! You can really explore Guts origin without any sugar coating it.
The anime 1997 - was great, even though some of the animation were outdated its still pretty cool!
The 3 golden arcs - personally, i prefer this than the 1997 anime, it sums up the anime series well with better animation and graphics.
berserk 2016 - the art style was not as good, animation was consistent with the golden arcs so its not that bad as people would say. I will say that the boring and unnecessary parts for me were the women characters who just blur stuff about their feelings, dreams, aspirations and past. like i care about that shit, i only wanna watch Guts chop up monsters.
berserk 2017 - still on EP3 so i'll comment on this when i finish the series.
