Almost at the end of my Top Ten Overkill Songs...
Runners Up.
Actually, I won't do any. There's too many songs by this band that contest the number 10 slot. Overkill is easily my favourite band of all time and I could talk about them...all day.
Let's get on...to
1. "Long Time Dyin'"
What can I say...this song...it came out in '95, Metal in the mainstream? Long dead. Pantera was keeping it alive with Groove Metal. Metallica sold out ages ago, even Megadeth and Anthrax had. Not so Overkill, nothin' stops then from continuing in their sound. Sure they adapt, but they still sound like Overkill. All thanks to Bobby 'Blitz' and DD Verni the last two standing original members. (Still are to this day.)
On to why I love this song...
This song is easily the grooviest in their catalogue. But... It ain't radio accessible (aka Sold Out) for one second.
That intro is like falling down a staircase, you can't turn away because you know you're just gonna keep falling. The main riff? Oh. It's like getting smashed against a wall over and over, heavy like a dump truck. And the riff right before the solo? Like getting stomped on by a sumo wrestler. HEAVY. I gotta listen to it at least twice, every time I hear it.
Whew. That list was tough. Wait, what's that you say? I'm forgetting something?

Oh no I'm nooooot~
0. "Elimination"
If any band is due the 'turn it up to 11' stereotype, it's Overkill. Without any further ado...
This song is legendary. It's been in so many compilations, and even on Overkill's Spotify page it's the most popular song.
Usually, I don't follow the crowd on popular songs, but I make an exception for this one, _it's that good.

Haven't heard it? ( ಠಗಠ)
Fix that right now. What's five minutes of your time?
that's it. I'm done with my soapbox now now xD.
