I keep thinking about this Less Than Jake comic that was the album insert. In the comic, the panels are drawn with lyrics to the songs in the word bubbles. Interestingly enough, however, is that the comic follows a different song order than how the album plays out. I'm looking for all the scans but there aren't many; I've got the comic physically myself but the best I can do is take photos.

This absolute jam. Cibo Matto were absolute queens. I really love this style of music where it's almost rapping with surreal lyrics but not quite and there's an ethereal backing track. I'm obsessed. It's hard to find this kind of music, however. Other artists I can think of that have tried it are Origa, Kitty (the Florida rapper), Sassy 009, Stereolab, Pizzicato Five, capsule, and Ladytron. The "Serial Experiments Lain" soundtrack featured a couple of tunes similar to this too.
