@KoreanTacos I don't think considering yourself as a philosopher comes over as snobby. I'm both an academic philosopher (with a degree in the subject) and as with everyone else, an active philosopher as we all travel our roads in life, and despite any complicated means in which philosophy can be/has been conveyed, I always see it as a subject for everyone.
However, I wonder if art trumps philosophy? As philosophy, despite it's apparent universality, seems a type of art. Some Philosophers consider than a genuine or more authentic life should be considered art, and the self cultivating such a life, the artist. More general musings than anything affirmative.
