Honestly I'm mostly proud that I wrote something that is so lighthearted and fun. (And like my current comic is not really a humor comic, it's still a YA fantasy drama), but up to this comic, most of my writing and comics were grimdark as hell where there was a lot death and sadness, and anything cute was pretty artificial. I was definitely that 00's emo child with the side bangs, youknow? That was pretty much all I thought I could write for a very long time.
But, several years ago, I felt a strong urge to bring something more bright into the world because there was enough gloom and doom everywhere already. That really pushed me into getting out of my comfort zone and studying how other people write and draw humor. To take notes, to take inspiration, and practice by turning off the voice in my head that said "I'm not the right person to write this" and just doing it anyway.
