Good morning everyone!

I interviewed a few people who draw for webtoons and I found out the average amount webtoons pay people is around 2000 usd a month to write/draw a story for them. Just curious is that a good amount for some of you to write/draw stories and produce 1 issue a week? If not what is a good amount that you artist/story creators are willing to take?

ah, well at this point anything would be nice lol. But anything I could live off of would be fine with me, would not say no to more though lol

Given the sheer amount of hours worked each week to create an episode the size of a Webtoon Original, $2000USD a month is actually very low. That works out to just $500 a week, which is barely enough to live on if you were single and living alone in most Western countries.

Thankfully, though, that's not the only source of income a creator working with Webtoon would have. They also get a slice of the ad revenue from their series, as well as a slice of the income earned through the coins people pay to read ahead. In addition, most creators have a personal Patreon, where they can provide paying fans with things such as wallpapers, bonus sketches, and so-on. All of this adds up to an amount which, by no means large, is enough to live on comfortably provided you have a modest lifestyle.

And if you have a partner who also works, you'll obviously be far more comfortable given the combined income.
