What are your "evolved" stories?

I made a topic about a year ago about scrapped stories, and reading it through again made me think of another topic. How many of your stories are completely fresh and new, and how many of your stories are built on the backs, so to speak, of old, scrapped or "infinite hiatus" stories? I know we all get our influence from somewhere, be it anime, or a book, or a comic by someone else, but what about pulling ideas from your own past stories? Picking and choosing what you like and don't like, and putting them into your new ones, whether you're aware of it or not?

I think about this sort of thing from time to time, and I've realized that, while some of my stories, like Symphony Knights, are rather new ideas to me (as far as pulling from my own past ideas), my comic 12 has a lot of themes and plot points from old stories of mine, and I didn't even realize I was doing it.

My current series is made from bits and pieces of stories that I scrapped in the past. I am pretty quick to scrap an idea, because I'm stuck with the plot.

†he one I'm working on was those "it had a good concept but horrible execution and it sucked" stories, so in a way it is one of an old story recycled. It feels a bit weird now as I never imagined revamping it.

My main series is somewhat of a reboot of an old story I posted thats still online thats almost 10 years old now though it takes place in an entirely different time period and only sharing maybe a handful of the original cast and plot points. I got another story of mine thats like 600+ pages long I still wanna reboot but thats in the far future.

My current comic is new compared to all other ideas I have. Since it feels like the most interesting/ridiculous so I chose to make a comic out of it. It has evolved from its initial idea mainly to cover plot holes. The story is also strongly connected to my oldest and most loved idea. XD

I don't do stories, I do comic strips. But I do go back and redraw strips of ideas I like but I hated the art or I needed to tweak the text. I am currently revamping some old strips.

Every story I make starts out very different... The endings and even the character designs change drastically over the course of actually creating it.

For example my current story had a totally different ending once - one where the villain turns out to be a different character to the current ending, and the current villain didn't even exist.
It evolved from a short piece I did as part of my creative writing course, which was the scene where Jason discovers the angel. My teacher liked their dynamic so much she was like "you better finish their story because these two are hilarious together" and I was like "if my teacher ships it maybe others will". I eventually told her I was going to make a comic and she cheered me on until I finished the script.

(Semi) Super is built on the back of a story that started out with like a Lord of The Rings political and social structure about two worlds and a struggle for power, then I was like "Meh too hard to keep track of" and scrapped it all took the main theme and reworked it from something heavy and serious to something a lil snarky with punch and an attempt at having a heart.
Someone told me to draw what and who I know and I ran with it for this series.

My comic is based off of an comic that was more gags and slice-of-life stuff. I tried to be more serious in tone with this current comic and change the art style to something I was more comfortable with.

Reapers Need Love, Too was born from one of my many high school creative writing classes a decade ago. The idea of a reaper society always piqued my interest but--as with most school-based things--the idea was never fully finished.

Jump ahead ten years to the second Tapas Writer's Camp and I have this lightning bolt of an idea that I plotted in less than two days from start to finish. It took the very narrow idea of a reaper hunting down a rogue god and launched so hard off its back that it has become a completely new story.
