What color style suit your comic and why

For Kanna & Nikki I use a simple cell shading trying to make it anime style, and the colors a little creamy to make it look cute and tender :3

SPIRE uses my regular cel shading style but I also like to use vibrant colors and lighting so it looks kind of unreal/dreamy (it takes place in a fantasy world after all)

I initially used grey ink wash for areas of halftone (inspired by manga but not willing to mess with screentones). Because ink wash is such a pain (it dries almost immediately, and you can't fix it afterwards), I tried doing grey halftones in watercolor. But both Ivory Black and Payne's Gray are a little lifeless on their own, so I tried mixing a "chromatic black" by combining blues, reds, and browns. I accidentally mixed a bluish-purple color, and absolutely fell in love with it. I really like how subtle it can be, and I'm still playing around with a perfect combo, but I think for me it beats gray halftones 10/10.

I use something between cell shading and a painterly technique for Reus. Color is really important in the story because it relates to magic types, but other than that each chapter has a sort of overall 'color theme', hinted at in the chapter title page.
Chapter 1 was yellow, with a sub-color of green

Chapter 2 was purple, with a sub-color of yellow

Chapter 3 is red, with a sub-color of purple.

I tend to color shadows almost exclusively with purple, though. I like the way it looks, and it makes sense in-universe, too.

Being a fantasy comic set about the kinda Sherlock Holmes kind of era, with Aetherwar I have to go with a fully coloured comic, of which a lot of it is either green gray (giving of those dreary English vibes) and some oranges (for the gaslit fire feel).

Because the backgrounds can get complex, I use a cell shaded look and some light shading, that is a lot faster than my usual method

I rarely do color pages (since I'm going for more Manga inspired) but for Wild Cards I use watercolor style. I think it's the closest that matches a Mangaka's color pencil approach

Drananigons typically uses flat colors with a paper texture overlayed on top.
I usually keep the coloring simple since I update 2-3 pages per week, but sometimes I do cell shading and gradients for more important scenes.

For Whetstone, I use Copic Markers to color it. I like making it look painterly. It allows the inking to be more clean and simple but still have texture and detail because of the colors. The way these markers blend and shade lends to the mood of the comic. It is serious but whimsical to meet the unique vibe of the post apocalyptic story. My color choices are somewhat limited since I am using markers, but I like to use specific hues to enhance certain feelings. For example, purples are used for mystery, blue for sad or emotionally cold things, and red for intense passion.

For my comic it varies although the main colors are reds and greys when my characters travel to the alternate dimension to fight demons.
