Melanie Martinez worked wonders for me the last few months when I had zero desire to draw.
I often just queue Spotify or one of my 8tracks playlists and go from there. There is a lot of pop and electronic dance music in there.

I listen to all types of music pretty much (all genres almost) and when i'm not in the mood for music, I listen to podcasts or scary stories on youtube ^^.

A lot of things. My preferred genres are rock'n'roll. swing, melodic and power metal, folk (including filk), ambient, techno, trans and ethno music. Also I'm fond of drums and weird rare musical instruments. And there are also such gorgeous things as Intermediate Music, Two Steps from Hell and Juno Reactor.

I watch dvd boxes of some dutch soap series instead of music... I have like 10 boxes to go xD

I enjoy listening to "epic song" on youtube. It's a variety of instrumental songs and it gets my hyped when I listen to it while drawing. It's really good because I get to think on a good plot on my story too. I think it helps me.

If you like Drums and Weirdness look out for my Heavy Metal adventure comic 'Blastbeat Mercy'... It's about drums, time travel and historical (mythological) events. You won't find it on tapastic though!

Depends entirely on what I'm drawing. If it's something that requires all my attention, then I'd prefer to work in silence, that's normally when I'm most effective, but it can be hard to fall into "the zone" without anything. I've started listening to audiobooks however, and as I've seen some mention - podcasts. As far as music goes it's whatever I feel fits the mood of what I'm drawing. Something cheerful I might listen to upbeat chiptunes or even j-pop, while if I draw horror, I'll sit and listen to the soundtrack of Amnesia (I'm positive that a dark aura surrounds me when I do)

I watch Shark Tank! smiley The plot is always the same so you don't have to pay too much attention but it keeps you entertained during drawing.

Usually youtube videos. I tend to watch vinesauce a lot. Although recently I'm composing music for a comic in the works and I listen to that sometimes to get an idea of what the world feels like. I really love making thematic music.

Old school hip hop! Run DMC, Kool Keith, MF Doom, Danger Mouse, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious 5, all those golden tracks.

The repetitious beat and the hook put me into a head nodding and toe tapping trance. Sometimes it helps to push the inspiration forward and expand a story, or pause the idea to allow for detail in the subject matter. Anything else for me is distracting.

I personally love to just turn on a Youtube mix and see what comes up.

You can find the first chapter up on my website www.slackmancomics.net1.
The navigation is super clunky so unfortunately you'll have to click back to page 1. The first chapter is also going to be in my book which will be out before Christmas, just saying!
