What do you think of "flash-forwards" for a prologue?

Yes, it's extremely difficult to pull off with all the things you have to aim for and avoid in a flash-forward, which is why I'm pretty reluctant, haha. Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for replying! Yep, I'm trying to avoid spoilers that could be devastating to the plot, since that would suck the authenticity from every chapter beforehand.

Some of my worries exactly. The transition from a usually darker flash-forward to a slower and lighter one is so tough for both the reader and the author, and I was also afraid that it would ruin the experience in the way that you pointed out. Thanks for replying, I'll keep your comment in mind. ^^

Yeah, especially with the weekly or even monthly updates, I can see how that could be a problem.
