My female lead is sassy, intelligent and brave. She isn’t a perfect or naive girl, instead she works to overcome her insecurities and becomes really strong. She’s relatable as a character and is funny because of how sarcastic and reckless she can get at times

My female lead is pretty muscular, while normally female leads, even when they are really athletic or talented are designed to look more traditionally feminine.

My character Hannah is plus-sized and perfectly comfortable in her own weight. She also has plenty of athleticism to go with her job.

Hm. For Etherwood, at least within genre, it's very unusual for the girl side of a fox romance to already be familiar with magic and folklore instead of being a blank slate everygirl. She's no expert, but the Fox isn't the only one who knows about the magical spirit stuff!

Also, both her parents are alive, well, know some magic, and love both her and each other, which is unusual in magic teenager stories like this. While that limits the drama a bit, the antics with the potential in-laws has been a great source of humor. I look forward to eventually introducing her older brothers as well. Big families rarely see representation in fiction, and especially not as the protagonist's family.

Setsune enjoys casual "relations" and poly
she's generally fairly gentle and great at reading people as for what they want or need(albeit she's not a good negotiator)
She's a hypocrite, she knows it, she accepts it, she moves on(with some frustrations)
She's very Mother Bear on the battlefield
She has trauma, lots of it, I'd compare her less to the standard female lead and more like the war veteran trying to be left alone, but gets pulled into "one last job"

My female protagonist, Grace, definitely shows a young woman with a complex personality. Sometimes people focus too much on just one aspect of one's personality or one character trait...and I think sometimes we forget that we as humans are complex...and so is Grace.

Has Grace been through some trauma? Yes, but, while she COULD let it define her and drag her down, she fights against it and rather wants to make sure no one will go through the pain she went through AGAIN.

This is one branch of her personality, in which gives growth to her strength and her bold heart: her love for those around her, her protective nature towards her brothers and friends, and her fighting spirit. She isn't your typical shy, timid and hyper-feminine heroine... she's her own person. And if that makes her a tomboy, a lover, and a fighter...so be it.

I'd say my character Dorothy is a spirited and adventurous young woman, embodying the new freedom and independence of the "flapper" generation. Confident and bold, she’s not afraid to challenge societal norms. However, she's also thoughtful and empathetic, often standing up for what she believes is right, even when it’s not popular.

Mirael. Driven, intelligent and princibled. I think the main difference is that she holds the agency in every desicion she makes. She's also 2 metres tall.

Then there's Freja. Very little conventional femininity with this one, having grown in the northern woods. She is very good at socializing with other people, but struggles with pretty bad anger issues.

Suen has a genuine and heartfelt love for lots of things deemed grotesque, horrifying, and “unladylike”, with a particular love for animals. How that manifests ranges from collecting bones and learning about deep sea creatures, to eating dead animals she finds on the ground with no hesitation.
