What Fantasy world would you NOT want to be a part of?

I would never want to be in the universe of Attack On Titan, nope nope nope....

Living in a Berserk universe would be hell D: so in Attack on Titan world ; -; not to mention Hunger Games.
But, actually, as much as I would love adventures, quests and fantasy creatures around, I wouldn't like to live in a fantasy world at all. Because, you know, I like bathrooms in our world, thank you CX and Internet. And not having to worry to much about food and things like that.

As far as relating to, nothing in the dark or middle ages. When in the mood for fantasy, I'm more into eras that are most easily relate-able. Likewise, I wouldn't want live in the caveman era, well with my sensibilities. Obviously if I were a cavemen it wouldn't matter.

1889-1936 is about perfect.

Like, Red Country is a fantasy-western, and that's awesome - but you could not pay me enough to live in the world where it's set. Too much violent murder, betrayal and general misery. And mud. And saddle-sores.

...or popsicle zombies! But yeah, I just roll my eyes at that crop burning and peasant killing. Like, what are the winners gonna eat for the next bazillion years of winter if they kill, burn and chase all the peasants away? Heh, spoiler: everyone and their mother dies. XD

@JigokuNeko That's actually a real war-tactic, though. Scorched earth and the killing of peasants was employed both by invading armies and defending forces. In offensive situations, it was used as intimidation ("Look how scary and serious we are about this; we'll kill everyone if you let us!") and to force the defenders to surrender - in defensive situations, it was used to deprive the opposing side of any possibility of living off the land. Poisoning wells was also a popular tactic.

It hurts both sides, yes, but the intention is to hurt your enemy more than yourself.

Screw Attack on Titan world, I'll die in episode one. I think any sort of post-apocalyptic world that is governed by crazy officials and invaded by monsters/aliens that threaten the human race is a bad place to be.

True, true. But you do this with your own stockpiles safely tucked away and you probably know that famine, disease and population decimation is on the menu come next year for your enemy. Land on it's own is useless without some sort of production going on, and in ye olden times that means crops and livestock. If the land you are burning is your own and you have no other food source then that's just dumb to the nth degree. Especially if you had to prepare for such an extreme turn of seasons, you'd be treating food like gold. In reality a bloody peasant uprising would be much more likely, especially given how much a minority trained warriors were. Meh, this is always my gripe with fantasy stories: writers seem to forget the importance of agriculture in a feudal setting and think the peasantry were one uniform set of background characters loitering about the scenery when in fact they are the foundation of your economy.
