But the real question, let's say he wakes up looking as Chad as Aramis, how soon before his bad habits, lack of fashion sense, and poor attitude make that body just as much of a prison?

1) Jeffrey will become super confident and start approaching and flirting with women left and right and before you know it, he has a harem and he will live happily ever after

2) Jeff will still be unhappy and make excuses as he sees nothing but the negative. He will complain why hes not gigachad or why Aramis body looks too pretty boy and not the rugged tough guy Chad lol

I've seen the "handsome" incel crowd, and they're no happier than the ugly ones...

Aramis is vain enough and inhuman enough that he'd probably burn Jeffrey's body to a pile of ashes before continuing on to do whatever he wants.

But I thought of another scenario that might be more interesting.

Veronica's father Jim Wood. Jim has good taste, lots of magical skills that aren't body-specific, and excellent discipline. Jim would be in a much younger body, and it would only be a matter of weeks to months before the combination of energy healing, fresh air, regular exercise, and healthy eating would really turn things around for Jeffrey's body. A haircut, a shave, and decent clothes would do a lot to improve Jeffrey.

Given enough time, you'd get a Jeffrey version of this...

And Jim-as-Jeff would have no trouble picking up women, if he wanted. He's a devoted husband though, and would definitely not be looking for that kind of action. And definitely not from women in the same age range as Jeff's body.

On the other hand, Jeffrey could enjoy being a 50+ year old man with a 100% VA disability rating. Plus, Jim's wife is alert to magical shenanigans and can clock a family member behaving out of character in seconds, so Jeffrey couldn't even get up to any mischief before being caught and dealt with.

My characters - any of them - would probably commit suicide in hope they would isekai back to their own bodies. Since they are pro assassins, for them Jeff´s body is fn useless.

If any of the characters in my stories were to take on Jeffrey's body, they would prefer to die a thousand times rather than be Jeffrey.

1) Jeff (thoughts): wow... now I'm a balding old man... life has never been so over! I just missed out on... wait a minute... I'm getting what I've always wanted. My waiting time to gtfo of this existence has actually shortened! Praise God if he exists!!!

2) Jeff (thoughts): wow this feels good... I now have a family!!! I got this hot redhead trophy wife (when she was in her prime) and I have a daughter (too bad I skipped out on the good part about making her)... I love this new body. Still better than the last one I had

Nives: She’s the most likely to take drastic action due to her unique circumstances

My OCs would all be like “YOOOO IT’S THE FUTURE!!” And not really care about the body itself.
What each of them would individually do, however:
Mina: join the trans community. Also, buy a plane ticket and fly somewhere fancy. Mina likes planes.
Minjoon: immediately check if he still needs to go to the army. Find out there’s currently no war in his location and throw a party to celebrate that fact. Nobody would probably come to that party, but maybe if the food’s good enough… I mean, Jeffrey should be able to cook, right…?
Leaf: now this is the plot twist nobody saw coming, because by modern standards, Leaf would probably be considered a feminist. (He’s a guy but… he has one heck of a backstory.) He’d take a look outside and on the internet, go “yo, women have rights now?!” And then go on to just be his usual self, kind and supportive, befriending his neighbors first, then some other people around him as well. Eventually, he’ll probably get a girlfriend and live happily.
That, or he’d go on the internet, see what kind of stuff people post there about women and blow up.
Tiger: would honestly not give much of a f about being a guy now. Will, however, massively hit the gym to get her muscles back.

I also wonder what would happen if the story didn’t change, just the body. Depending on the character, it would either not make much of a difference or immediately alter the story forever.
