At first, I started drawing for stories I wrote (like, you know 6th grade...they weren't good: the drawings or the stories XD.) Mom always loved comics, and I remember in the 1990s she would occassionally buy these discount boxes of comics from some store and it'd just be a box of random comics (Spawn, Morbius, X-Men, etc.)
I read some of them (though...I she kept the violent ones put up.) I liked the comics, but the art style of the 1990s really...didn't compell me to make a comic.
Sailor Moon is really what got me starting to draw comics. The book stores didn't really carry manga at that time, except this one store had a few volumes of Sailor Moon that I snatched up. From there on, I wanted to try my hand at comics
