By that logic about the power dinamic, people would not have professors or experts in anything giving talks about anything. Also, if they go "actually, you are wrong" they are expected to explain the why.
Is common for a discussion to have some people talk and introduce the topic at the beginning. Also they have a space to ask questions and debate the points mentioned at the beginning.
But if the people who disagrees storms off in such a petty way, they are undermining their own credibility, and unintentionally, the credibility of the people they say they support. They close their own chance to debate.
They could disagree with the points said in the beginning, but a temper tantrum doesn`t help anyone.

The "you are worst than hitler" and all it`s variants are really common cheap argumentative fallacies.
If people consider that that kid doesn`t represent them i can completely understand it.
I think we all have ocassionally witnessed a person who agreed with our ideas but we thought "dude, shut up, you are making things worse"
If we want to have a civil debate and reach the truth, we cant defend or justify the "strawmen" of our groups or their methods and we can`t have double standards when it comes to argumentative fallacies.
