Weirdest thing I had to do to promote my series, hm, probably getting into social media. Believe me or not, I never used twitter in my life, not bc of anything, rather, I just didn't like much, when it started twitter was kinda teenagy and cringe with some weird posts, It didn't change much along the years, but now I find more artists there.
So it might not sound to great to you, but for me it was hella strange, when I started my novel, I realized it was better to promote it, but I didn't have much experience in the subject back then, (even now, sweat smile*) but I created a twitter, to post drawings, novel quotes, and so on... But I didn't have followers, I sent link to my subs when the chapter was over, some followed, but the majority didn't. So I was like, "how da hell I get ppl to see posts?" Then I enetered a bunch of follow me and follow back or ppl that retweeted stories and promo things.
It was so weird having to go on posts, which I'd normally ignore, and now struggling to get ppl to see my work.Getting out of my shell gets me really uncomfortable, talking to people or asking them to see my things, it still does, but no one will see me if I don't go myself, so I try my best to do that. Hopefully I created something others will enjoy and will forgive my clumsy promotions.
Btw, if anyone got time to spare, this is my novel.
