I'm curious about this LoFi I keep hearing about. Is it simply a genre tag, or is it a culture regarding the counter of traditional high fidelity recording practices, or is it simply regarding the equipment recorded on? (I'm too lazy to Google it xD)
I'm curious because, back in the days of early metal and the 80s, low fidelity recording was standard practice, because the fever for creating metal drove many bands to record their demo tapes anywhere they could, even in park bathrooms.
I have a huge appreciation for these old Thrash Demo tapes, even though the quality is bad, the artistic part shines in the raw nature of the recordings.
(This one is on the higher end of that low fidelity scale, but I've got some others that are even lower end)
