Heels on a female warrior that is supposed to be battle hardened! well actually heels on any women that runs a lot! Have a great time breaking your ankles ladies!

I do actually have one character like this... but he's tiger-themed so I think it fits xD

Utawarerumono perhaps?

Hmm what irritates me..

When the main character is so extremely bland in his design that there's no personality to him at all. Like the pure opposite of Yugi & Co. Usually that means the character is made as an audience insert though, and I tend not to watch those shows because they turn out to be harems most of the time anyway.

Or as I mentioned in another thread: Extremely shy girls wearing revealing outfits. It. Breaks. The. Character's. Logic.

Additions to a design that completely defy logic, reason and/or sense in the story. Not if everything is a bit over the top, it works in-universe. But when you have one random thing, like Mouri Ran's horn... I swear that thing just gets more ridiculous as time passes. xD

Everyone else's hair is perfectly normal though.

Ps. I have no trouble finding plain tees... You just have to look in the basics department of stores like H&M, Bershka, Zara etc. (or Uniqlo, if you're lucky to have one where you live). Trust me, I work in a clothing store haha. I'm in Europe though, it might be different where you live.

That's true, but then again, that's basically the explanation why they have dyed hair. Explanation shouldn't be taken literally, I don't need something like a footnote, really. Just that you somehow get some context on why. (Like, e.g. going through a phase, coming from another planet/having another gen pool, or they had to endure some experiments etc. etc.)
This is more about the anime-like protagonist who is the only one (apart from a few main and rather important side characters) with an uncommon hair colour and it seems like it's not dyed. It's just to immediately spot who's important and who isn't.

Okay, I can see if it's a big square type of heel, that can be handy when you ride a horse/dragon/anything else, but when it looks like something that just came out of Baldinini shop - how about a no?

Running on high heels isn't that hard, given that a) you have a habit b) you run on asphalt and not varied terrain.

Ah. No/ I wasn't thinking of Utawarerumono, but yes that is the kind of cat ears I was talking about. Let me see if I can find the character I'm thinking of...

-after much Googling and re-watching YouTube videos-

AH! I was thinking of Ikaros from Heaven's Lost Property

YEAH BUT NOW CONSIDER THIS
THink about a new comic with t e r r i b l e character design but amazing story and well written characters
that would be a wild ride

  • Heterochromia
  • Rainbow-colored hair or hair that has two or more colors, I mean what.
  • The only character who has wings when literally no one else has

To sum it up:
8

This manga is one of the worst offenders when it comes about emo hair out of place.
Also Victorian England and noble or at least any honest women who let their hair down.
That would be scandalous.

I don't know if this has been said, but I hate the whole "her eyes/hair/whatever BS changes color depending on her mood :3 :3 :3"

I also truly hate when a certain character is clearly a Mary Sue or just the creator's favorite; attention hasn't been paid to the characters even half as much, making them half baked and useless.

oh dear.. many of my characters will have their eyes change color depending on their mood/craving for blood
which will greatly impact their behavior if not the environment around them as well....
buuuut at least they don't all change the same color... except red.. that's always for craving blood

eghhhh.... it really bothers me when people draw characters who wear the same fantasy outfit constantly. it won't necessarily make me not enjoy the work, but i do think it's kinda stupid if everyone is dressed like that all the time, even if they aren't fighting or doing something that would warrant a costume like that.

SCREAMING. I hate when characters have similar clothes/hairstyles as when they were kids. It makes me uneasy.

I could see if they're some wizard or have authority or has some cultural/religious significance in their world or the character is a massive show off.

That can often work well! What bothers me is when every character is dressed in that way all the time. Having fantasy themed outfits all the time is also okay as long as it's multiple outfits per character (or there's a reason they can't change) instead of just one unchanging costume on them constantly

i have to agree with this.. but in a more general sense.. such as with Pokemon.. Yu-Gi-Oh.. etc..
i can't STAND it when a bunch of characters have the same exact outfit 24/7 without an explanation as to WHY it hasn't changed..
i have to give credit to the humor of a closet full of the same outfit.. (ex: Bee Movie, Charlie Brown movie, etc)
at least it's an explanation of some sort..
or if it's a uniform (i.e. every single school-based anime ever)
but if there's no explanation (im looking at you Pokemon characters '^') then it'll just get on my nerves.. SO MUCH >.<

buuuut as for my upcoming story Hybrid the characters that have formal attire/same outfit all the time will have a more in depth explanation than a closet full of the same outfit.. in fact- most of my vampires will have fancy-schmancy royal attire because they actually are royals, there is a very important, very fancy, very formal and elegant event, and/or some part(s) of the outfit is/are just too difficult to remove -cough cough- corsets -cough-
