I have an 8am - 5pm full-time job. So, by the time I get home and eat, I might get time between 7pm - 10pm, since I have to work the next morning. I rarely have any energy left at the end of the day. I work as a web designer, so I design all day long, unless I'm coding. So, when I get home, sometimes my brain is just fried.
On weekends I go to the farmer's market on Saturday and do all of my errands in the early morning, so I have from noon until late at night to work on my stuff. I can easily forget to take breaks, so I set myself small goals and then I go take a break away from the studio area. 20 minute breaks and then a two hour supper time. On Sunday, if I don't have any plans, it's a pj day and I get up and walk directly to my studio room and start working. I eat later.
I don't have a set number of pages to do anymore, mostly because I don't to rush and do a crappy job. But, I try to get a comic book completed per year. Which is roughly 20 pages of content + cover.
I don't spend every single weekend creating either. I sometimes like to take a weekend to relax and do other stuff. Like going walking with a friend, sometimes take a small day road trip to a different community to change the scenery (if covid rules allows me to do so). I visit family or just turn into a couch potato. Sometimes you just need that.
