Also you're close. My character is wearing 40s pageant girl fashion. She's inspired by 40s beauty queens, Marilyn Monroe and some old cartoon characters like Betty Rubble, and Hello Nurse (though she's only retro, not vintage)

I watch a lot of old movies, especially Shirley Temple, so 30s and 40s are the era of choic IG. It's an odd coincidence, but I did have to do research as well, for accuracy sake.

In my stories vampires are like the classic monster, they’re not a species. But not everyone I write about wanted to be a vampire and just because of unfortunate events they find themselves that way. But usually they’re not going around killing people and just eat raw meat which sounds disgusting but I guess that’s just kinda how drinking blood is is gross!

There are only three characters in the story that I feel have a fashion statement, Eli, Emeal and Koi (for some reason)

Eli always wears a jacket in some fashion while Koi is a fan of graphic tees, ones with slogans, or ones that are unusual.

Emeal sticks more towards the preppy/business casual. Lots of fitted jackets, stripes, plaid, collars, things like that.

So I actually had so much fun designing my OC Matay's outfit cuz I was pulling from 1890's-1910's fashion trends for inspiration, but I also I saw a show wear the MC had kinda a one sleeve look and I wanted to incorporate it so I added some cultural context to relate it to his druidic background. Personality-wise, Matay doesn't really care about fashion, but is a very meticulous person who cares about his appearance. He definitely is the type of person to have 10 extras of the same type of shirt because he likes it/feels comfortable in it and doesn't want to find something new if his shirt gets torn or rips. (Ignore the Bulbsaur. It was the only pic I had at hand that had Matay by himself).

I think in fashion anything 20+ years is considered vintage ^_^! I think it is funny though because it doesn’t feel very far away. But when I was living in the early 2000s, the 80s was considered vintage, and it had only happened 20 years prior at that point as well! I guess it all just depends on your perspective though xD

I don’t think I’m vintage as a person, nor do I think other people born in the 90s jdjdksk idk if anyone would want to be called “vintage” unless it was talking about thrifting clothes
