What kind of music do you listen to when making your comic?

Sometimes soundtracks or electronic music too. But usually something loud or with strong emotion makes me happiest.

Weirdly enough, I listen to music while coming up with a script but not while drawing.
I normally tend to have an Epicnamebro's Dark Souls playthrough or some other Youtube video while drawing. Not like I can watch it while drawing.

lol. i sometimes just pull up rant videos on youtube and listen to those while i draw. It gets my comedy Adrenalin pumping

Whatever I'm in the mood for. One day I may feel like some Kanye West, the next day I might listen to some Armor For Sleep.

sometimes I'm swinging through different moods for music too. like slow calming music, or extremely fast music.

examples:
slow music- the sound of silence
fast music- Mirai Nikki opening

When I'm storyboarding I like listening to soundtracks/songs that fit the mood I'm going for, it really helps get the ideas flowing. I've heard Tarantino picks out the soundtrack of his movies before he actually writes them.

As for doing the grunt work like lining and coloring, I just put on whatever. House/electronic is good for keeping a working rhythm, and sometimes I have random esports on twitch in the background.

I also like to put music in the background that fits the mood of my comic. sometimes i just repeat the same song over and over again.

I have a specific set of music for each work. For my current comic, The Society of Fujoshi Cat Ladies, it's a mix of vocaloid music and the Osomatsu-san OSTs. lol

My playlist is so bipolar. It goes from anime music, to korean, to death metal to chill trap, then there's rap, hip hop rnb.. might as well say there's every genre. Depends on my mood too. I guess I'm the bipolar one ( .____.)

So I'm gonna be weird and say that I actually find a lot of inspiration while drawing or coming up with characters and stories while listening to metal and punk rock music D: I just love the sound of guitars and songs with a lot of emotion or stories built it. (I know there were a couple of you who also listen to metal and I'm happy to know I'm not the only one!)
