What movies inspire your webcomic?! Reveal your inspiration?!

The live action Cinderella as well as The Little Mermaid and the "Hans Christian Andersen" movie inspired my comic "Hushabye Prince" but it's more inspired by fairy tales in book form (as my MC hates movies) and real people and life experiences than movies.

"Damsel in the Red Dress" is similarly inspired by fairy tales, with parts of certain characters, like Juana King and Melissa Xochitl being inspired by characters from films. Melissa is inspired by the shrew from Zootopia. Mrs. King is inspired by deep-voiced movie stars like Myrna Loy

Ooh lots of fairytale inspo I like it!! I bet most people get the influences from life experiences too, it’s what makes strong writing even my silly little comic has fragments of my own experiences. Thanks for sharing your movie inspo, it’s fun to see!

Also Myrna Loy is such an interesting voice claim/inspo? I also imagine my main character Lady Lock has an elegant deeper voice.

The biggest overall inspiration for my webcomic, limited to movies, would be Star Wars. Its general vibe that permeates my entire story (so much so that I'm kinda working to limit it some what haha.)

Another influence would be Mad Max: Fury Road. Shortly after seeing that in cinemas, I made a sketch and a got a basic idea for a world, that would kick start the entire creation process that would lead to Trespasser. The sketch itself was a proto-type Kyara, based on Furiosa.

Oh mood, but different genres I'm guessing. My dad really loved watching old sci fi films from Japan, we watched Gamera alot growing up- the 1970s one xD

Same way I've watched a whole lot of adventure movies with my family when I was young. So I guess I was destined to eventually make an Action-Adventure story haha.

But you gotta big action move influences, but with fun world building by the looks of it? Both those movies have super immersive settings.

And yeah, I love doing worldbuilding, pretty much because I find writing stories set in the real world as boring. I just wanna let my imagination run wild haha.

ooh, me and my dad and brothers watched a lot of anime and superhero shows together, one of my other sibling is joining us now too. we watch a lot of shows with our dad, and just got through watching Godzilla XP a little while ago

And I forgot to mention Matrix trilogy.

Documentaries? Lots of Christian and Eastern spirituality stuff. Eckhart Tolle seems to perfectly blend those together.
Then there's Alex Jones Endgame, Bohemian Grove, etc. And throw in David Icke, Jordan Maxwell, etc...
Then there's coast to coast am...
Then there's the blackpilled YouTube channels (wheat waffles, faceLMS).

Mix that all in a blender and crank out a work of fiction, you arrive at AngHell Dela Blackpill

That's an eclectic soup of influence! The first Matrix is actually one of my faves. I think the Matrix even has a short collection of animations as well. And then I see a lot of conspiracy theorists in the mix lol no doubt it will make for unique story

I strive for wholesome but also with a tone of melancholy, like a lot of non-action oriented anime movies, to tug your heartstrings. I also like a lot of 90's coming-of-age movies.

One Stormy Night

Gisaburo Sugii who also directed Night of the Galatic Railroad & Life of Guskou Budori, etc. They have the similar but different vibe compared to Ghibli movies.
