There exists a weekly to bi-monthly event in French Cup called drag bingo. You can win all sorts of weird prizes such as a taxidermy shark, a baby goat, an ordinary homemade sandwich in a Ziploc, an antique wooden wheelchair from maybe a haunted asylum, a cat skull, etc. There once was a prize for a 55 blue gallon industrial drum of...stuff for certain activities that I can't say. Let's just say the drag queens joked about using it for a slip n' slide summer block party after, to which they concluded they'd need more. The plot twist is that, upon completing the book, I realized the 55 gallon drum is still in the storeroom of French Cup (the bakery the book is named after, which hosts drag bingo). If the book were a TV show, I'd love for the end credits of the last episode to be of the drum in the closet with whimsical music over it, to make the reader remember it and give them a last and rolling in their seat laugh.
French Cup is a comedy about drag queens in Japan.
