What software do you use to make your novel/comic?

I see. I used to use word a lot for my stories I use manuskript because it allows me to make character profiles and world building profiles so I can remember what I was doing and review said characters/locations to make any revisions.

Never seen this before, someone using an Android device to make comics. Do you have an android pc?(Chromebook) or like a tablet? Pretty neat.

Scripting in Open Office, Comics in Paint Tool Sai with Clip Studio for text. May eventually move to photoshop one day.

Would use Linux, but given all my fave art programs and games are only compatible with windows.... there's that. :c

I refuse to use word. when i want to buy a program I want it for keeps not for a year. so i use a free program called Libre office. for my art work i use clip studio paint.

For my drawing stuff, I'm mostly using Paint Tool SAI, but I'm looking forward to using Medibang on the iPad. I don't have a writing program yet, but I'm doing my editing stuff in Google Docs.

Notepad before transferring over to Word! Its easier to write without a format x3

A very old Photoshop, and Manga Studio. For writing Word. (Okay, I made a book from a story of mine, which I edited in Indesign. So it can help too. )

For novels, I use OpenOffice or GDocs, though YWriter is super helpful too.

For my comic, all the digital stuff is done in Krita!

I use plain and simple, GIMP. Most of my work is done by hand like the sketching and inking. The colouring and effects are all digital though.

MS Word for writing and a mix of Medibang, FireAlpaca and Photoshop for comics, though Ps is mostly for text and some color/effects tweaking.

To keep track of my novel storyline, I use a flowchart maker called draw.io. It's free online, and you can link it to your Google Drive to have them at hand at all times. Admittedly, it's a bit of work, but it's a godsend to know exactly what you have to write next, so you don't get lost. (Especially when you have multiple storylines, multiple different settings/political situations or things like time travel).

I use good ol' Notepad and OneNote for notes, outlines, and scripting.

Then Clip Studio Paint Pro for the art. Occasionally stepping into Maya or SketchUp as the need arises, but not often.

For drawing comics, i use good ol’ Clip Studio. Fave drawing software.

For my novel, i use Google docs/sheets for summaries & outlines, and for actual writing/scripting i use Ywriter — which is basically “Scrivener lite” (and free). I used to have Scrivener but i actually only used like 10% of it and I didn’t need all the clunkiness.

Btw, if you’re like me and you like to freewrite (or u just wanna try it out) there’s a site called Fighter’s Block (https://cerey.github.io/fighters-block/whatis.html) that turns writing into an RPG game. Basically the idea is to freewrite in order to beat the monster, but if you stop writing your HP will drain, so it forces you to write until you reach your goal. It’s a fun lil thing for warming up or get ideas going.

For prose - Google Docs which I store on my Google Drive, so I can access it and type on my phone any idea that comes to my mind when I'm on the tram or whatever.

For comic books - Clip Studio Paint.
