Lol, I used to have a Garfield addiction as a little kid. Then one day my older brother told me I was too smart to waste my intelligence (just, he meant JUST reading comics) and gave me a fantasy novel that revolved around quantum physics, and I am now the novelist I am to day lol.
Also I love Dreamworks and Pixar too, high five!
XD, I just watched a clip from "Bourne Legacy" yesterday, and know Kattar (Damsel in the Red Dress) was absolutely all over that. And yes, he probably made Alicia watch it, and yes, she was absolutely horrified watching Jeremy Renner cut himself open to remove that pill from his insides. It's the sort of thing that would disturb her for days.
For Apparent Secrets, the roommates are into:
what are popcorn flicks?
They like old movies, mostly from the 20's through the 60's. A lot of their art comes from these influences. Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers movies, Audrey Hepburn, Judy Garland, Rita Hayworth, etc.
Ahh I love old movies, especially comedic Black and white films and Hitchcock mysteries
Leia Taylor is really into adventure-fantasy books. But she also likes some fun and quirky book series like Geronimo Stilton occasionally. She also likes super hero books like "Almost Super" and detective series like "Brixton Brothers" by Mac Barnett. She also shamelessly reads Mac Barnett's children's books just because they're funny. she's pretty fond of listening to audio books, and she likes watching super hero show like "Young Justice"
(these are legit just books I likes as a kid but oh well lol)
Riley likes G.I. Joe, do not try to tell him that the writing is weak. He's the sort of person who just zones out staring at a screen anyway. He barely enjoys most things, but that's what he'll watch. Don't tell anyone that he also is mildly interested in the Disney shows his older sister occasionally watches. He thinks they are mostly dopey, but also mildly amusing at times, and the actresses are pretty.

Teasing my novel debuting June 15th
Essence doesn't enjoy reading, but she reads a ton of romance novels for her job, since she's a developmental editor.
Dominic likes a combination of everything. He really likes sci-fi and fantasy novels, but he's not opposed to romances, comedy and so on. He also reads a lot of books, because he reads everything his family sells at their store in order to give better suggestions, but he legitimately enjoys it
Tiffany and Scarlet both love romance novels. Avis prefers drama type chick lit catered to women in her age range, who are usually already married and mothers. Things like "Sister Chicks" and "The Yada Yada Prayer Group."
Cocoa is big on romances, especially teen and summery romance type movies and novels. Honey likes serious TV shows that revolve around cops, murders, secret agents, investigations, government schemes and dystopian but modern-esque. Cocoa does not have the stomach for these.
Ayla is obsessed with a series about a prince from another world who falls through a portal in his mirror into the real world. it's a computer-animated cartoon, something like Miraculous Lady Bug aesthetically, but it's a prince-highschool-romance combo, which is a little odd for a show for gradeschoolers i think, but whatever lol
Well, I’ll just use the main characters of my comic (link below ofc :3)Nea probably likes anything that doesn’t have too many words. They can read, they just don’t really like to. If an oc were to share a likeness to them, they’d probably like it.Namida on the other hand enjoys more scholarly books, definitely mostly potion recipe books, books on new spells to learn, and in general non-fiction. They don’t really care for OCs necessarily.
the details are nice, i watch too many utube to write that much
Casey is a history buff (ironically), she loves nonfiction and historical essays, she’s the type to dress up as Margaret Busby for Halloween and get annoyed when people don’t know who she is.Sadie loves superhero films, she relates to them. She would probably be a big fan of Wonder Woman Andy loves every form of creative entertainment but she is a blueprint Mitski fan (if that counts)Lee loves those cheesy doctor shows on ABC, mostly because he loves watching people help others without magic involved.Jay loves 80s to 00s romcoms. Noting Hill would be his favorite but don’t tell anyone. It’s because it’s simple. He likes simple Paris is all and only reality TV from Jersey shore to The Bachelor but she also loves game shows. Family Feud is a stand out to her.
Mora likes slice of life stories set in highschool, YA type things. She's never gotten to live the "normal" highschool experience until now (and it's still far from normal honestly) so she's idealized school life for most of her life.
Chris likes mechs, all things anime with giant robots
Tbh, Verner George and Therese aren't big readers. Verner often reads books on home repair and maintenance, and Therese reads books on natural medicine, fermentation and food preservation, crochet patterns, all things about homemaking, but that's basically it. She hates artificial things and chemicals so a huge portion of the things in their house she and Verner made themselves, including their clothes and linen.
As for movies, Therese really loves animated movies, and leans toward them over 'adult' series, but she usually only watches TV for family movie night.
Mandy likes fantasy stories, especially things that are revamped/reimagined versions of old fairy tales. She loves disney movies, and she is unabashed even though she's 16 years old and some might think she's too old for that stuff.
Elyn: Fantasy, Historical Fiction,Architectural, Geography ,Historical nonfiction
Naaririel: Drama , Sociology,Psychology, Food, Comedies
Lillian: Garden,Folklore,Food
Coostaark: Comedies, Drama,Romance
Honey likes sitcoms. Anything that will make her laugh. She often just watches snippets from series like "Blackish" and "Abbot Elementary" when she wants to laugh.
