Hi! This is my first post! First of all, thanks to anyone who answers. Second, I know the correct answer to these kinds of questions is "Write what makes you feel more passionate" but I genuinely feel strongly about these plots, just in different ways. So, I figured that if I was going to post it for people to read, I'd just ask said people what kind of story they'd prefer.

Making it short, I created a Wonderland/Oz-esque world and characters for a roleplay session and fell in love with them, so much that I brainstormed various stories. The two more developed ones are:

A mystery plot set in a small town, starring a sorcerer and his familiar, both running away from the sorcerer's dark past.

The stories of fairy tale anti-villains, with good intentions but questionable methods. It consists of kingdom wide adventures, but with a strong focus on character and character development to make the protagonists sympathetic to the readers.

So, what do you think? And, er, sorry for the long post.

I think the second idea sounds more interesting (only because I have a similar idea for a story )! But I think I'm misunderstanding the anti-villain part. Wouldn't they be anti-heroes?

If the readers root for them despite their flaws then yes, but my objetive is to make them people the readers want to follow despite disagreeing with them/wanting them to fail. That's why I went with anti-villains.

I actually like the first idea more xD But choose what you want to write about.

Oh ok, that makes more sense. But then you should probably change the definition in the op, good intentions with questionable methods sounds like an antihero. Clarifying the wording to be "noble cause" instead of good intentions, because if they're a "villain", they don't have good intentions

Honestly, they both sound like they could be fun. I’d say write both, but that’s just me. I like to have multiple projects going at one time. Though, if I had to pick, I prefer the second one.
