Ooh, I always love these topics! We talk so much about "tropes and cliches we hate" on every writing site.
I love Enemies to Lovers & Enemies to Friends.
This one, I enjoy so much that it's very difficult to go wrong on it. I'll pretty much like it no matter what.
Above the Gods Trope
I apply this to all levels, beyond just gods, and it's basically when you've been fighting with or defeat a Big Bad and then you discover there's actually something way more powerful than even them. It's a big, "Oh $%*#!" moment that feels like it opens up the world form a previously more narrow one.
Jerk-to-Nice-Person
It depends on how much of a jerk the character is and how well they're redeemed, however. When it's done well, this is timeless!
Wounded Hero, Weaker Helper
The uber-strong or important hero is wounded, and their life depends on someone much weaker. We all gotta work together and no one does it on their own. Never get tired of it.
Found family is wonderful, too! I pretty much like that one no matter what.
