What would be an ideal adaptation of your story: game? movie? anime? + promote your story if you want

sadly I know full well my creations are not PC enough to make as a movie or tv show (unless they show it in the middle of the night) however the idea of a game for mature players would be an interesting option given the chance.
I have thought of one or two people who i would like to see in a tv show version though. but even if in a billion to one shot this happened what actor in his right mind would want to play a guy who wears a bucket on his head for everything but sex?

I would love to see The Black Robin portrayed in an anime-style movie/show, whichever fits the length better. I would say Disney-esque movie, but I would worry about them butchering the story to make it more "family friendly." It's kind of fairy tale like, but that includes darker elements like what Disney is know for cutting out of their other fairy tale stories.

On the other hand, I think RomaMates would make for an interesting dating sim.... Four eligible men struggling to find love, each with their strengths and downfalls. My guess is Dewi would be the most popular character in a dating sim situation, especially since he's willing to go really far to make his partner happy (he'll become the person they want him to be).

Windy Lightning would definitely become an anime. Actually, I tried (Youtube link). It would be nice to get soon to a Studio Ghibli level for the flowing hair and clothes or Production IG level for all the action. Let's dream big ^-^

@MaruExposito WHAAT!! That was a really nice short film, I can totally see it as an anime just by seeing that video alone O_O you’re a damn good animator!!

I guess for my comic it’d be some sort of movie in the drama genre..? Like a 2D animated western movie. Lol you don’t see those anymore

We need more 2D animated western movies. The studios are loosing hopes on it, but there is still lots of stories to be made like that (and money, if that is what worries the producers).

If I adapted my series into a video game... Would it remind people too much of Kingdom of Loathing and West of Loathing?
I get the feeling I might get hate mail over the art style being unoriginal...

Ah, as an 2D animator who once worked in an animation studio I'd say yeah I agree :''') more 2D projects mean more work for us ahahaha and more entertainment for y'all.

I don't think my comic is short enough to fit into a 1-2 hour movie, so probably a TV Show. Maybe a 2D animated TV Show. With 4 seasons.

I can see my comic as an anime or 2D animated series. With half of it's budged used up on making the magic look amazing. XD

My comic was always meant to be a sort of "pitch" for an animated series, so... Yeah!
An animated movie would also work fairly well.

Considering how many giant lizard men are an important aspect to the story (and roughly 4 of them are very prominent main/secondary characters) I feel like whatever adaptations come out of Looking for Oasis would have to be either a video game or an animation. Most likely a show and not a movie (there’s just too many things happening that a movie would ruin a lot of story telling elements).

I’ve seen SOME shows that can pull off CGI well enough that some monster men look decent enough on screen, but usually with shows like Buffy or Lucifer these monsters have human forms to save the CGI crew from killing themselves every ep, so I really have a hard time imagining my comic in live action, even if we blew all the money on costume lizard boys instead, it still feels like animation would overall be a better decision.

Animated series.

The pace is too slow for videogames or even a movie, and it's not interactive enough to be videogames. Perhaps the thing that can be done to make it playable is into visual novel format, where wrong choice will result in death.

Maybe it needs some CGI here and there because it's fantasy. My story also has lots of dialogue, I'm curious to see it voice-acted.

A folk/prog metal concept album!
That's what it was supposed to be, before I realized that would not be finished before I died at the speed I went.
Still have dreams of doing that.. I do have quite a bit of music for it already... maybe just finish a song or two.

I'd like to see a long form 2D animation series for mine. Since my style is in between western and anime styles I think it could work nicely.

I'm gonna go with 2d animated for mine....however, I just got handed a huge key to this in Adobe Character Animator, which I got for a client project. I could completely see my way forward for doing an animation at a respectable pace with only my one person team using this software. I'd still need to dig up some voice actors though. And a composer. All in good time.

my goal for Mirror Monster is for it to become an animated (television) series. I’ve also had the idea of it having a prequel game of some sort that would feature a different protagonist

Animated series for sure! Which is something I'm even trying to do right now on my own as you can see below lol. So same thing, but 50 times the budget and yeah, that would be ideal ^^

I'd love to see my books as movies one day but I think Alone in the Night would be best as a tv series.
