I like seeing creators create what they want to create!

But if you want a personal opinion, I'm starting to preference series with an older cast. Or if you're doing it about early 20 somethings, please don't make everyone look like they stepped right out of tumblr.

like honestly you have to create exactly what you want, because if you make it with passion then that shines through, and youll make it even better because of it. that being said, obviously avoid like, offensive tropes and that? (im including the entire BL genre in 'and that' lmao)

also, lesbian main characters are always cool.

Thirding @AnnaLandin and @shazzbaa. Make your own stuff, unless someone is paying you well to make something else I guess. One of the great things about webcomics is that you get an unfiltered view of an artist's creative vision, which is to say, what you make is what YOU made, no one else had their hands on it. It went from your brain to the page.

That said, to answer you question "what would you like to see in a comic", and i'm not saying you should do this or anything but, I've never seen a comic that used photographs/video gifs instead of illustrations/animation and its something I think could look neat.

Tapastic has a lot of readers and creators that appreciate LGBTQ+ themes in the comics they read for various reasons - and you just happened to get a lot of people responding who enjoy looking at handsome men.

It's one of those coincidences.

Again, it's way more important to make things that you want to make, and not so much what people want to see. Also like, my video/photography comic idea is like, super niche, so if you were hoping to guage what a general audience might want to see then what I suggested isnt the golden nugget of an idea you were looking for. But I mean, if you actually like the idea of making a comic using videography/photography then by all means go ahead and make it.

I guess what I mean to say is I dont want to push you down a creative path you dont want to take, because that may as well be the same as pushing you off a cliff.

One thing I like to see in stories, regardless of genre, is good character development. I think once I get attached to the characters, I'm hooked to a story even if it's not the most interesting. I don't know if that's an opinion that other people share though...

2) comics with political or philosophical content that makes me think.
3) comics with great action scenes
4) comics similar to anime like Naruto, Bleach, Neon Genesis Eva, and Welcome to NHK.
5) comics that have historical fiction
6) comics with Christian and Biblical themes
