ahhh. which story did you place top 15 for?
and yeah, the bigger the pond, the harder it is to get noticed, you really have to start gaining followings when platforms are smaller or else be exceptional to really get attention
Lol, I sure hope so. I feel like I usually only see comics being advertised on the front page, but I'd like novelists like me to get some more exposure.
My high/low view days are sporadic at best. I haven't noticed a pattern as yet, except when I pick up a binge reader. When someone picks up my story in an afternoon, the view count spikes super high for that day. Shout-out to the "I'mma finish this in one sitting" crowd. They really know how to mess wit the metrics.
Apparently it's arounf 350 a month. It's been quite a long time since I actually checked the stats, haha.
it's good that it looks pretty consistent
I have this happen occasionally when i'll get like 150-200 views in one day it's crazy
Yeah, it's wild, right? Every once in a while, I'll see a new subscriber, followed by a bajillion views. My first thought is "Ah, welcome to the series. Looks like they enjoyed it."
XD, it is crazy, but every time I comment on it my brother acts like I'm crazy for finding it weird
I feel that. There's also been some months where I barely get any views or subscribers. Not gonna lie, it feels rough sometimes. I've taken to checking my metrics only a few times a month and keep writing whether they're good months for views or not. As long as we're having fun, right?
definitely, writing the story your passionate about is what's most important imao
I've finally passed 2k views in one month!
Congrats! Here's mine for my main story, honestly not too bad considering I didn't start posting this one until the middle of January
which of the stories is this? and yeah, it definitely takes time to build traction anywhere. I don't know what the average is, but it seems to very drastically lol
This one, I forgot to link it in my earlier reply Of my total of 2.5 k views, 1.4 k of them are from this novel
I only have one novel rn, so all the views are for "Damsel in the Red Dress." but our stories are almost the same age, I just realized. We can basically grow together XD. I only started on the 27th of November last year
I think I was probably one of those I am enjoying the series, though the only problem with being caught up is that I can't just binge read everything
so many people say that they prefer binge reading, but I never know how to wait and always read when things are updated, my siblings do too. one of my brother's friends was planning to wait to binge read my whole second novel XD
edit: my older brother is a save and binge person too. but the rest of us nope
I think I can be both. I like to binge read new stories for the first time, but once I'm hooked I've got to read them as they update. Plus it depends on the story, I've got some comics I come back to every couple of weeks especially if I reach a lull in the plot or if I'm too busy lol. Then I get to return to new plot points and a bunch of episodes to relax with
