I'd love to share my comic's proces!
Bear with me though, I haven't done this very long, and first recently settled into a rutine, so it's probably still a pretty messy proces. If you have recommendations for efficiency I'd like to hear ^^
I work on this story by myself. I might ask people for input and I have a friend who proof reads, but otherwise I am on my own.
1 - Thumbnails.
This is how I write the story. I've tried writing scripts etc, that doen't work for me at all. I often see the images first and then later work out the dialgue, so thumbnailing is a good way for me to get my thoughts down in image form rather than text.
These scribbles are also just meant as notes for myself, so if others can't tell what's going on that's also fine. These thumbnails was worked out almost half a year before I got to drawing the page.
2 - rough sketch
When I have worked out the story, I rough out the pages to figure out the panel layout. As it had been a long time since I made the thumbnails, I had thought it would be much more interesting to show a flashback rather than just having Rose talk.
3 - First sketch
After roughing out the page, I sketch in more neatly what's going on, and type out the speech. This I send to my friend for proof reading.
4 - References
After proof reading I collect resources for references etc. I usually make a mockup of the background in Sketch Up and screen shot the angles I want. If a pose is difficult (Often times it's faces and hands), I take pictures of myself for reference.
5 - Secound Sketch
This is where I go into details and use guidelines, vanishing points etc. and makes everything pretty.
6 - Lineart 1 & 2
I do lineart twice. First lining up everything, then I go over it and fix screw ups, adjust line weights, ad small strokes etc.

7 - Flats and colouring
I lay down my flats, all things having their own layer. I usually divide up groups for each character, ex Rose, Extras, Background. In this case I also had two super groups: Present time and flashback. Each component of a character then have their own layer, like Rose's dress is one layer, her skin another and so on and so forth. I then lock all layers' transparency and render them each panel before I move on to the next. I have a small speedpaint of this page where I show how I colour for anyone interested.
8 - Sound effect sketch, lineart, colour
I basically go through 3-7 again with the sound effects.
9 - Effects and colour correction
Usually I have a palette with all the colours in the scene for continuity, but when new colours are intruduced like in the flashback, I pick from them and use hue and saturation to make them fit into the page. I then colour pick these colours and ad them to the palette.
10 - Speech bubbles
Rinse and repeat step 4-7. I have all text in a hidden group throughout the proces, that I can just toggle on and off if I need to see if it still fits.
