@lunaartemisasama I never expected shipping fast food brands, but well! Autophobia is amazing, I'm always waiting for the updates. Heartstopper is soo heartwarming. And don't worry, even if I prefer yaoi I sometimes read bara too.
@NickRowler I don't like the whole dom/sub relationships in yaoi. I prefer some balanced roles. And the whole Uke/Seme thing is unrealistic too. I don't know for sure, since I'm an heterosexual girl, but most of the homosexuals I know like to switch.
@Mari I don't understand the obsession the teacher has with his students. Like, they are underage dude, date someone your age geez.

I enjoy BL stuff, though I really dislike stories, where there's hardly any plot or no plot at all because it's all about sex. ._. And if it's a story that glorifies abuse and rape I won't even touch it.

Mostly I find myself interested with stories, where characters take time to know each other so there's more reason for rooting for them other than them being hot. Or if there's something other going on with the plot than their romance.

@Kann I know, right? Since when are abuse and rape a representation of love? I really want to find interesting BL where the characters and story develops. Plot should be the pilar of the story, not only sex and hot guys.

I've got 5 volumes of Don't Be Cruel sitting in my bookshelf mainly because of the gorgeous art, however when it comes to Nekota Yonezou I prefer Elektel Delusion. If it ever comes out as an english print i am getting dat shit so fast.
Not too fond of the story itself, at least in the beginning, of Don't Be Cruel. Because uh... rape and blackmail >_>

I also like Ten Count, fucking sue me. I think problematic characters and relationships in fiction can be a good thing as long as they recognize it is messed up, and I think Ten Count does that.

I also like YataMomo. Because it is psychological, fucked up and comedic all at the same time.

I am probably missing out on a lot of "good" yaoi comics because the art ain't my type. When it comes to reading I am very much an art first, story second kinda guy because the main reason I even read to begin with is usually for artistic study.

As for titles, "My Brother's Husband" was a recent one I read that I really enjoyed. Not typically a BL/Yaoi manga but it's really good story about a guy accepting the husband of his recently passed brother and deals a lot with both normalizing gay relationships and touching on ingrained homophobia.

My problem with Ten Count was that it was statutory rape, not to mention Kurose is like the worlds shittiest psychologist / Psychiatric nurse (I forgot witch). As someone who'se been in and out of mental hospitals & open care clinics it was such a pain to read through it. If anyone of my council would've acted even remotely like that I would've sued everything and probably offed myself ew ughhhhh

And like, this would've all been fine really if the characters acted accordingly (and the comic could've been effective horror), but it's all sunshine and rainbows and happy endings =_=;

The art was nice though, and I've liked other stories by the author, but Ten count...Ugh...
