Personal Success: Always remember that mindset and hard work will trump all, whatever you do. I grew up thinking that natural ability defined everything but I was wrong. The most successful people in life had to learn, grow and overcome struggles.
Literal Success: There are two little sayings: don't let the highs get you too high and don't let the lows get you too low + Rome wasn't built in a day. It's a combination of self belief and knowing that success takes time and a lot of perseverance.

I wouldn't say that. His stories don't even have political overtones. He just thinks that's the proper way of writing.

I see this quote like the Sam Phillips (who discovered and recorded Elvis Presley and all of the other
Rock´n´Roll stars)
"If you are not doing something different you are not doing anything"
You can also interpret this quote differently and by doing something different you
will 100% piss some people off and sometimes the result can lead to a desaster
or that everyone gets angry with you. I think we need creators who try out something
different and sometimes this leads to anger, sometimes it doesn´t lead to anger.

Yeh I'm still a bit worn out by this quote since a lot of creators that use it end up failing in the longrun. I think Tarantino is probably the only one that's mastered it. I hate the guy as a person, but his movies are so crazy and absurd, they're great. I guess looking at this conversation my motto would just be

"Provoking people is stupid unless you're actually willing to put your life on the line, if not, don't bother"
