What's your opinion on my cover art?

Here's some rough cover art I made to scratch my drawing itch. I'm thinking about making a short comic out of it. The idea just won't go away. Would love some thoughts on colour choice, composition, title, clarity. As well as any other critiques.

It's going to be a satirical sci-fi/fantasy/adventure.

Personally I don't like using pinks, reds, and purples in the same image as it makes it look garish. I also wouldn't make the main character/focus of the image the same color of the title so they don't conflict each other. a good rule of thumb is to make everything black and white in photoshop (or whatever you use) and if the shades of gray are way too similar or if you can't see the picture as well as you can with the color on, then you should change the hues and saturation of the colors so the image doesn't look flat.

See how everything looks almost the same tone? A good way to know if it works is to squint your eyes and look at the picture. If you can still make it out and understand what is going on then it works, but if things get fuzzy or disappear then you should change the colors. Here's one of my images to compare.

make the title and font smaller (it takes away from the art) you have a bunch of space on top for the whole title

Okay, here's version 2. I think it's better than the first and took me a bit longer.

It's still a bit rough and I changed the title slightly in order to make it more digestible. Thoughts?

You've definitely made improvements upon your second draft. Although I still personally think that the pink and orange don't quite agree with each other, I'm glad that you've toned down the saturation and variety of colors used. More attention is drawn to the actual artwork bit of the work and everything more or less has a purpose. Good improvement!

I like it quite well, not entirely sure how to judge it. A little outside of my genre.

At least it's a drawn cover! For something designed to later on become a graphic novel I assume. Seriously, what's the deal with all the establish writers using realistic covers lately?

This place isn't a Wattpad substitute, it's still a web comic site at its core business model. Mainly speaking of all those just plopping their wattpad novels on here, that don't even try to make it seem like it's designed to later become a graphic novel: it was one meant to sell to a YA agent.

Really liking the second version. The vibrant colours harmonise well to my eyes, while the first version clashes a bit more. The pink and orange combination is particularly juicy! The only change I would make would be to alter those lighter blue outlines towards the bottom to a darker shade.
