Do you own your own business? That in itself could make it tough to create. You should consider making sacrifices where you're able. Depending on what you find more important, you'll need to strike a proper balance of your current business, and your creative business. Plus, people get exhausted from just working on art or working on work. If you don't save times for hobbies, you'll become extremely overwhelmed. So if you feel like creating is a business opportunity, and its not purely a hobby - if you feel like its work after work, then you may need to either make sacrifices or drop something altogether. Rescheduling yourself to do specific jobs to maintain both businesses could be good, too. I can understand that anime, tv, games, other people's works can be inviting. But there is a point where they are destructive, as well. If you come home, try creating if you're in a good mood, rather than busying yourself with a full platter of activities. Sit down and create for a while, and maybe get sucked into it. If you feel tired, try getting your energy up somehow, eat healthy, go for a run, if your body is physically exhausted, take a nap. Once you're energized, get writing. If motivation and ideas just aren't there, look into the things that inspire you to create. These could be the days where you come home and watch something. But don't watch mindless YouTube videos. Watch something with a good story, or great animation you've been into that'll make you want to make something great, too.
I know that when I fall into schedules, I get depressed easily. Part of this is that when I was on schedules, like going to college or high school, or working a job, I fall into a spot where I feel like I'm not spending time to have fun. But my fun becomes toxic really easily. I wind up playing video games or watching anime or tv for days on end without anywhere near as much as I should. From there, I've hit depression before, where every day becomes the same routine. And now my fun isn't so fun anymore and I'm lacking something extremely important that leads to human happiness: Productivity.
Balance yourself and what you choose to do, and try to find new ways to keep yourself motivated and inspired! (Btw, I don't do any of this. xD But I'm going to start now that I've said it, because I was actually smart today, and I like these ideas. I just quit my job to free up my time, but I'm finding myself immediately unmotivated. Once Monday hits, I think I'll start running or working out. I wanna try something new to keep me on track. ^.^)
Hope this helps. If not, I think I actually helped myself for once, and that's the rarest thing any of us ever do. xD
Cheers, my dude! And good luck with your work and artwork! \m/
