Violence is generally handled more leniently for comics. The app store will only take offense against uncensored realistic depictions of violence. So the cartoonier, the better. And a dark premise is fine. It's just when you get to having visual images of the nitty gritty unobfuscated in any way, that's when eyebrows will be raised.
This was from an e-mail notifying me about one of my series and how to amend it for it to be appropriate for the app.
Extreme violence is allowed so long as the gory parts are censored and it's behind the mature filter.
From the content guidelines: "While Tapas allows a certain extent of violence, profanity and non-sexual nudity as long as it is behind our Mature filter, uncensored depiction of extreme violence and all forms of pornographic sex acts are not allowed in comics."
The above is all for Tapas. No idea how WT handles violence.
