I use Tumblr because the Simple Webcomic Theme is very solid as long as you take the time to customize it as you need, plus you aren't restricted in terms of adult content which unfortunately Tapastic does. I do like Tapastic though, I just wish very much that they would have options to do more adult content than they do. Maybe someday they'll have a branch for that!
I used Comic Dish for years and still have all 700+ pages of my comic Incubus Tales there. They're a very good host, though you may want to use something like Disqus for your comment system. Their built-in one is not so great, but the site is otherwise very solid and pretty easy to use.
DrunkDuck should still be around as The Duck Webcomics. It's an understandable name change I think.
I honestly really dislike SmackJeeves, because they basically built a site off a number of their early members and then turned around and slapped them in the face. I walked away and never looked back. They're inconsistent with even the enforcement of their rules (several of which were added in the face of tremendous disagreement from users, who were asked and ignored) and tend only to go on wild tears arbitrarily (and have at numerous times singled out specific comics and users for no valid reason). While it's their right to do that as a privately-owned site, I don't support that kind of behavior professionally or personally.
I've had very good experience with Comic Dish, Tumblr, and here too, within their terms.
