Which kind of creator are you?

I'm pretty much number 2.
I'd like it if my comic became something bigger but I mostly do it because I love to make comics, create fantasy worlds and create creatures/characters/lore to fill that world with.

By your categories I'd be 4, because art is all I do and I did print for a while and worked for different groups on manga and other such stuff, now get payed through my Patreon page. The thing is I don't consider myself very professional anymore since my mental breakdown and being disabled made me quit a lot of the jobs I used to do because of my health... No more conventions, printing or any of the other things that are overly stressful... After a long break I returned to webcomics, but my hands still shake and I don't seem myself getting to a "professional" level, but my supporters think highly enough to continue following me through all these ups and downs so that is something.

Im totally a hobbyist. I made this comic because my summer had been terribly boring and i wanted to do SOMETHING with myself. So i made a webcomic and its going kinda well.

If I had to say, I think I'd be 2. I'm a professional artist, but my comic is just for fun...though I'd go pro if I could earn a living.:D

I'm definitely a number 1. I'm under age, for one thing, but I'm also not a terrific artist yet. I'm hoping that while working on my web comic my skills will grow, but I still don't see it as anything more than a hobby in the future. I'd enjoy doing this professionally, but I have the feeling my career will be that of a more literary nature, as much as I love my drawing.

Uhh.... hmmm this is a tough one. I think I'd jump somewhere between 3 and 4? I think it is tough because I don't wish to be hired by anyone. I'm quite an independent kind of creator, and formulating the story to me is as important (if not more) than the just the art.

Aetherwar is what I hope will be but the first of many. And as time goes on I hope to get some serious formal training in art.

Mostly hobbyist: I'm just doing this for fun and for myself, but also I take the comic thing somewhat seriously and put a bunch of effort into it, and want my comic to be the best it can be... I'd also not wanna get "hired" by anyone I think, I'm too independent

Also I'd want to do art for a job if possible... but a different art form (video games)

I guess I'd be somewhere between 2-3 but would rather be between 3-4. I'm working with games which is awesome, but I'd love to make money through comics too. I'm only speaking for myself though, we are two people, and the author considers himself a 2.

4 since day 1. Have always taken this serious and am working as hard as I can to make many series either short or long that people will enjoy. Working about 12 hours a day on graphic novels. It helps that my job is a night shift security guard at a desk. I spend all my work day writing and looking into advertising and getting better. And then what I cant do at work I spend about 4 hours at home doing. I want to be successful and I want to make a living doing this ^.^

i'd have to say learning professional for myself, kind of a strange combo...
im doing what i can to study up on the whole comic, manga, animation process while still doing high school and sort of making a manga myself so i can develop my art and writing at the same time as well as share a story ive wanted to share for a long time, and doing other work to gain a footing on social media etc, so that i have the option to switch to commission and freelancing as soon as im properly able to.
just trying to get a head start i guess...

I'm a Semi-Pro. I've planned my comic in such a way so it's marketable and enjoyable to the audience that I want to read it. I keep myself on a strict update schedule. I also watch videos and actively study anatomy and comic theory on my own time, I take making comics really seriously. However my comic don't make money so I can't be called a professional just yet.
