Which method of drawing eyes do you prefer here?

I started messing with a character's eyes while working on my episode, and I came up with an alternative way to draw them.

I then applied it to some other characters to make sure I really liked it

I've been drawing eyes the same since the dawn of time so changing them would be pretty big. But if I do change them now I'm gonna have to go back through my current episode and change all of their faces urrrgh

Which style of eyes do you think is better, old or new?

I like the new one more. The oval pupil + iris shape look better to me.

It's subtle enough you might get away with not changing the previous drawings. Up to you.

If you ask me, the eyes are pretty similar in appearance; the new is just more slanted. I'm not leaning to either in preference. Both are nice. I feel like it would make more sense to have the new version be a variation rather than changing all the eyes of the characters to one or the other. Because wouldn't it make more sense for Suzelle to have the old eye shape and Alleto to have the new one.

I like the smaller pupils. It makes their eye colors more noticeable

I like the older way with the wider, rounder irises. "Runnin' against the wind.

It's honestly depends on what feels you want it give your characters? The rounder/bigger iris give the characters a softer feels, while the more slim iris can give a somewhat cunning/annoyed/evil (lol) appearances. For pupil I think I like the newer ones, but it's always cool to mix and matches so they can look more diverse.

I agree with what @silverraven0 said above.
Giving your characters different styles of eyes can show bits of their personality and traits. I like both styles of eyes here. I don't think the differences are super noticeable, so I personally wouldn't worry about changing everything.

As @IndigoShirtProd and @silverraven0 said, the idea of making the new eyes a variation to define demeanor/personality rather than changing the art style as a whole is probably best. It'd bring me a step closer to curing my same face syndrome, haaa

I won't bother changing the previous panels then, if the eye differences aren't too noticeable.
