A mangaka named Yasuko is really inspiring me to start making comics.
She mostly makes shoujo mangas. There's something about her story pacing and the way she portrays her characters' personalities that I really like.
I bought a lot of her mangas, and I still enjoy reading them!

Anytime I see that sculpture I'm blown away. To think of the precision and effort that had to have taken is insane; it's actual perfection 🤦. I always think about sculptures and I wish I could've sat in on these types of pieces. Could you imagine watching the process?

When I was in highschool, I took animation and we learned all about those two! Absolute genius.

Not quite sure about inspiration, I was never good at that sort of thing, but there are a few artists who's work I love equally.

Erin Hanson - Her use of colors is so appealing to my eyeballs, I'm almost tempted to eat her art. Everything is just so vibrant, like candy.

Norman Rockwell - His mastery of expression, body language and detail is something I wish I had. I love every bit of it, and it really shows you can have a more realistic style and good expression.

Alphonse Mucha - I've loved his style since I was a kid, it's totally up my alley, and I'd like to do some replication studies of it someday.

H.R Giger - Big fan of his sexual, organic/industrial mixed horror art. It's completely it's own style, and super recognizable.

James Jean - Another artist who's work I love for their colors, the stylization is also so fitting, and smooth, surreal. It has a street art vibe I can stare at all day.

Lastly, Salvador Dalí - Another artist I've been a fan of since I was a kid. His surreal style is so iconic, almost unnerving at times with the combination of colors and imagery. The art has so much to say, and so much going on, it's great!

This is an amazing and comprehensive list, thank you for sharing . Giger and Dali are close to my heart and are in my top ten. Anytime I see their works I'm blown away, literally every time. Giger used airbrushing, can you believe the talent??

They both resonate with me a lot, Dali since I was a kid as well.

I only recently got into Giger deeper, but I've always enjoyed his works.

Right? It's crazy how Giger can do such detail with such a medium! Reminds me of graffiti artists who can do elaborate, detailed art using spray cans.

I remember this animation! The visuals never cease to be gorgeous, if only Disney did more collaborations like this. (Although nowadays they'd probably force the artist to sign over the rights to their art, or some outrageous contract.) It's surreal to think Dali was alive long enough to collaborate with Disney, and that Disney is such an old company. Granted, Dali died in the 80's, but he always felt like a much older artist.

Fantastic choices. Stan Sakai has been appreciated by my family for a long time due to Usagi Yojimbo! I really like his style and I often look to his works for inspiration!

I've known of Erte in my peripheral but after checking out some works, I'm officially going to delve deeper! I'm a giant fan of the art deco style due to Bioshock, so genuinely, thank you! I'm going to check out your work as well!

I've many favorite artists, but as of now I'm enjoying Haruko Ichikawa's work a lot (not only for the manga Houseki no Kuni/Land of the Lustrous, but also her art style in general)

What I love about Sakai is how he uses a very simple panel layout yet convey so much storytelling. It makes it very accessible to everyone.

Takehiko Inoue creator of vagabond and Kentaro Miura creator of Berserk are both my favorites artists and also favorite mangas their work inspired my work and also changed my way of thinking.

My favorite comic artist is Jiro Taniguchi. I love his art style, he draws simple lines without cross-hatcing and the result is incredible. I like how he draws the natural and artificial backgrounds.
