There are other plushie manufactures that aren't in china and don't require bulk sales, however, an artist is looking at paying $75-200 for a sample plushie alone depending where you're looking.

For the most part, it's cheaper and easier to try and find a buddy making plushies and pay them for smaller runs than seeking out a big company.

I'd love to get some if I could afford it, sadly my country (Venezuela) entered this year into hyperinflation and it's been hard enough to barely cover the basic needs. =(
Still, wish you good luck with this initiative, it looks really cool.

You're totally right! I've seen a few custom dolls around these price on Etsy.
But seemed way too expensive for a webcomic artist...

I'd be interested as well, but it really depends on the cost. I'm kind of cheap, though I'm gradually getting more expensive since I finally got a decent paying job

Thanks for your interest guys. I did the plushie with the help of mom. She's taught me the basics but I am on my own now @Aloredd ! Dimensions are about 6 inches high but I think I can do smaller (keychain size)!

@Caelestie It's not that hard to do. But it takes time especially with less experience.
@tableflipstudios I bought a new set of wool with lots of colors so I'll be working on the first samples...
I'll post my stuff here when I get more!

I knitted my first amigurumi, and of course it's a gryphon. Now that I have the hang of it, I can't wait to experiment with it, like using picot stitches on the wings to make them look feathery and adding different colors to it.

I couldn't find any good wing patterns online for what I wanted, so I ended up making my own

Do you have a source online where you've found good patterns or do you make your own?

Once you get the hang of it, it's not that hard.
I found basics online but no specific patterns.
For now I've only tried human like dolls so doing Gryphon is definitely a challenge!
