People showcase their writing by making aesthetic moodboard using the excerpt of their novels/quotes/poetry. I see this kind of practice often among Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook people.

For a story form like novel, I think it is also good for you to advertise the characters along with the story. Make people drawn to your characters, then they will be interested in what the characters are doing and what story they are in.
This is easier be done if you can draw and/or visualize the characters. Some people (like me) draw their own characters, others rely on requesting or commissioning artists, the others use celebrity/model face-claims, and there are people who use many free avatar makers available to visualize their characters. Then, you can introduce them by adding a short bio, facts, and make your audience can interact with them.
