Hello, I'm Azarien! There was another thread just like this, but unfortunately it has been inactive since June, so I wanted to start another!
A little about me! Fantasy has always been my favorite genre! There's just always been something about tales of unique heroes of all backgrounds, who band together on a grand journey to achieve the impossible, that I could never quite get enough of! Fantasy was just all I'd read and wanted to read! But then there came a part of my life where I yearned to read fantasy that had characters that were more like myself, but there weren't too many stories of such. But now that I've recently come to Tapas, I'd like to find some!
So feel free to promote your LGBTQ+ Fantasy novels here! As I'm seeking to read more LGBTQ+ fantasy in the coming new year, I'd love to meet others who write in the same subject! And I'm sure that readers would enjoy hearing about your stories and characters as much as I would!
To start, here's my story!
ACROSS STARS, ACROSS TIME, is a fantasy/romance series that tells of a divine conflict that threatens to bring about the world's end, and the two star-crossed heroes sent forth to rise against it. Astrophel, a brave mage who is able to wield the very stars as magic, and Xandalphon, a radiant warrior who fights against despair with hope in his heart. As they go onward to face the trials and battles that await them ahead, they also come to know of the love that blooms between them, and will soon find themselves fighting not just for the future of the world, but for a future for themselves as well.
I've been writing this story for a couple of months, and I've only recently brought it to Tapas! I was nervous, wondering what people would think, but I was pleasantly surprised by the welcoming stance Tapas has towards LGBTQ+ content and grateful for the wonderful reception I've gotten so far!
Ah, and for those who post about their story, don't feel pressured to subscribe! I only want for others to be able to find works that they may like within this thread! So just telling me about the story and the characters you're writing is enough for me!
