honestly, "cheating" isn't really a bad, thing it's mostly a way to figure out your workflow, and as long as it's doesn't affect your quality and you're not harming anyone I think is ok, as a matter of fact I might use @PoquitoBird 's trick, an create a library for drops, I already have one for effects such as magic or ligh, I also do the bubbles before I do the lineart do I don't draw things that aren't going to be seen

I think I mentioned this in the description, (need to check that) but I snatched the Deltarune symbol on my cover from the internet. It said free-to-use (if memory serves me) but I still need to make that known

This is actually the best cover I've done so far I feel, and by the time I draw the chapter two cover, I should be good enough at drawing the Delta Rune by myself.
I also snatched the giant Pokemon card that's hanging on Spamton's wall... you know, small assets like that.

Absolutely. I've copy/pasted whole backgrounds at times. Comic books are very labor intensive, you'd be crazy not to cheat every now and then.

Oh yeah, it's a huge part of comic making in general. I reuse backgrounds and props all the time.

I do everything in google drive, so I could actually quite easily just make a slides document, with large pages, and place all my assets there. So I can have a page with trees, a page with flowers, a page with cars, a page with other types of cars, etc.

And everything is backed up, and saved automatically, so there's little worry about losing it all.

IMO it's not really cheating to reuse assets. I think the only time it ever becomes "cheating" is when you, say, re-frame a panel in a way that doesn't make sense for the story or the emotional vibe you wanted to portray (e.g. a panel calls for an object to be seen from below to make it seem overwhelming, but you have a version from bird's eye view and change the camera angle to accommodate your existing asset, throwing your narrative into disarray).

That being said, I almost never reuse. BUT, I kinda have sketchy, whimsical backgrounds and it's usually just a matter of it being faster to draw from scratch than trying to reuse what I have. I think reusing and repurposing existing art is totally fine for comics. They take a lot of time to do!
