My shortest character isn't human, but neither is my tallest character? I guess that's what happens when you work in the fantasy genre lol
The shortest one is this ... thing? He's sort of just a robot I guess. I haven't actually stated his name but his name is The Cedric (TM). He is only a few inches tall but I never thought of the exact number. I always forget to included him as a character but he literally has speaking lines and will show up fairly often in Butter Bee as a whole.
Then for tallest so far it would be Knight Geoffrey, but he's literally a giant. He's somewhere around 7' 6" - 7' 8", but that's actually short his people, but it's because his mother was human.
Also I'm not even 5' 3", you're taller than me @Leyelle lollll I'm literally only 5' 1"
Omg your giants are even taller than mine!! My giants are usually around 8-9 feet tall, although it's also normal to be slightly taller or even be 7 feet without a human in their family tree so Geoffrey would just be considered a shorter Giant lol
And I think one of my tĂas is the same height as your mc, she's only 4' 11" right? I was only that height in middle school and early high school. But it is so funny how many similarities I have with your character
Omg she is so short! It happens tho. I think that's actually probably more around by abuela's height, she's a very short old lady. I do have short human/human adjacent characters in my story though, I needed to give short people rep lol they just haven't show up as much yet I realize idk why I'm writing about such tall characters when I am so short, my main is 5' 10" and that's in flats- she's even taller if she wears heels! But she mostly does stick to flat shoes just for practicality, she used to be knight.
Your abuela is so tiny! Mine was 5'3
Yeah! let short people have the spot light! my shortest human ML is 4'1. my shortest human female character is 3'9.
My FL has no sense of practicality. Well, she kind of does because it's difficult to drive if she isn't wearing heels lol, or go shopping at the grocery store. But considering how much of the first book she spends walking because she won't get in a car, it would have been worthwhile to get some tennis shoes.
Now in book two I have a female character who is 6'5 and STILL wears heels. I have no idea why I'm writing such tall characters either lol. Tho my mother and her family are tall. Short genes come from my dad's (the hispanic) side
My FL from my newest romance novel I'm working on is 5'10. But she usually wears heels too. Idky so many of my characters do when I've never owned a pair of heels in my life
Oh wow those are super short characters! It's cool to see a wide range of characters. In other stories I have I tend to have shorter character too, idk why Butter Bee went off with tall characters, although I think its rarer to see taller female leads too, usually they're average... well I guess that's why they call it average LOL I hope I'm making sense.
Anyways, you're leads just like being extra I used to wear alot of heels too but since I've had to walk mostly everywhere now I've stuck to more flatter shoes, but they still make cute sneakers and flats. Walking in heels is forreal a workout lowkey you just made all your characters super strong I think that's sort of amazing though.
I have pretty tall friends actually so maybe that's why I have tall characters too. One of my besties is 6' 2"! But his boyfriend is the same height as me lol or maybe I'm shorter? I've never noticed. But then another close friend is 6' 0". I'm surrounded by giants.
you're making sense lol
Alicia is extra, my new lead Essence just wears heels because that's what she defined as looking "neat and professional."she doesn't have energy for fashion most days. and yeah, I have to walk most places too, so sneakers for me.
Alicia appreciates this compliment lol. Melissa Xochitl is even shorter than her tho and never wears heels except when her husband asks her too.
someone let bro have coffee WAY too early lol. but yeah, my mom's side is TALL her dad and brothers over 6'0 and she's 5'8, but then my dad is 5'6 and his mom was 5'3 like me lol
Ahh is Essence a business professional?? For professional shoes I wear along of slingbacks but I don't think they count as flats, they're barely an inch tall lol I also wear alot of mary jane shoes too. I need another pair of cute sneakers I miss my old pair but they got ruined in the rain RIP
Melissa does sound very short, I saw the first post lol more power to her though. Some people are just kinda short, I don't even think that friend likes coffee On both my mom and dad's side there are short people and tall people, but I think my parents are both average- my mom is 5' 3" and my dad is 5' 10" but I ended up way shorter lol like my brother, who is basically the editor of my story, is only 5 4" too. And he's never really drank coffee either xD Me on the other hand.... maybe it was the coffee
I think most people count Mary Jane shoes as proffesional too. Melissa usually wears flats to work, but The Vegerra Foundation doesn't have much of a dress code, so she sometimes wears crocs to work lol
But yeah, Eseence works at an all-female run publishing company. I've never worked anything but online, so dress code doesn't matter for me. I just based my standard on what I saw at my dad's 'bring your kid to work' days and such.
OMG my brother is my editor too! tbf, he's a professional editor tho. He's probably the inspiration for Essence's job lol
Ahh the world of editors it does sound fun to write about it. My brother isn’t a professional editor, he’s an artist like me, but he has a lot of common sense and good narrative skills, he’s always helping my stories be their best versions of the themselves. He has webcomics he wasn’t to do too so maybe one day he’ll post here if I can ever get him to post online lol
Well, currently the shortest character in "Rigamarole" is Alyssa at 5'3. That's pretty close to be average tbh, but the female lead and her mother are both on the slightly taller side (with FL still growing) and the rest of the relevant characters are male so far so...
The shortest male character is Riley. It's not his fault, he's still growing!
this is available for free for everyone to read on my Patreon public posts
The tallest character in "A Dozen Morning Glories" is my FL at 5'10.
It's apparently not a very tall story.
The shortest character is the male lead's little sister Cocoa at 5'3.
It's also not a very short story, everybody is a lot more in the reasonable middle range of height than they are in DITRD.
