I haven't been around much recently but the other day I logged in to 40 some odd comments and hearts only to find out the majority were from multiple NovelStar spammers. I've just been blocking them. Thank god once you do it also deletes the comments. Makes it so much easier to erase multiple commen…

I've unfortunately been unemployed for 3 months now since COVID shutdowns claimed my job of 14 years. But after taking a break from most of the internet so I could be depressed in peace, I finally found a new job that if all goes well I'll start next week. I can't actually remember what my future bo…

I have a couple of supporters who have given me ink over my time since I unlocked that feature, but not many of them. I have one person who regularly comes back to drop me a couple hundred ink and I think that's amazing they love my book enough to do that. But that's okay. When I got enough of a fol…

Series: https://tapas.io/series/Draygon-Frost/info Logline: In order to save her world, she may have to burn it down first. Quote: Bidding her time meant they wouldn’t know the hellfire ready to rain down upon them. Siobhan in Draygon Frost and the sequel Draygon Inferno is probably my favorite c…

I've been writing off an on since I was 10 so I've lost track of how many stories I've written in general, but I have 10 full length novels completed. I'm glad you have that kind of support because it's definitely helpful when you start to struggle (and we all struggle).

I'm partial to candy canes myself. Even more so now that there's so many flavors and not just all peppermint. Heck I'm typing this as I suck on a jolly rancher flavored candy cane. :joy: A close second is the green and red gum drop candys.

2020 has definitely been a rough year for me mentally. From lockdowns, to hours cut at work, to ultimately my job going completely bye bye due to both COVID and my bosses health, to being cooped up at home with nowhere to go and no money to go there with, there have admittedly been very few bright s…

Man what a fun idea! Sadly my year in writing this year isn't one to celebrate. But I'm looking forward to seeing everyone else celebrate their year of creativity! Congratulations to all, you did a thing this year so celebrate it!

I started off on FictionPress. Can't remember why I joined it at the time but it was likely the only one I could find when searching for a place to post my crap. Then someone plagiarized it off of FP (back then it was literally as easy as cut and paste to steal someones work) and posted it to Wattpa…

It's definitely a crap situation to be in! Just keep chipping away at it and remind yourself same as I am, that eventually someone has to bite. I've given myself a drop dead date of finding a job on my own before I go through a staffing agency and just take temp job after temp job until one likes me…

Thank you. We knew it was inevitable with all the COVID shut downs but we were really hoping they could find a way to keep things going. But unfortunately they just couldn't survive. Watching my boss in tears as she called all our clients was heartbreaking. As hard as it is for me to leave my job of…

Haha this could be fun. Draygon Frost: Google Translate version: Original version: To hell with everyone. That is Siobhan's motto. Even her loyal mentor Elias cannot deprive her of the desire to change her passage to Ardorn, where she can live without fear of being overtaken by her past, …

Sadly right now my only goal for 2021 is to find a job. If I manage to find something before 2021 then I can focus on some happier personal goals, but right now that's all I've got. This has been one seriously bleak year for me (as it has for everyone) and COVID has claimed my job of 15 years :sob: Job h…

If I'm being honest, that's basically where I'm at right now. Trying not to be, but it's one of those cases where everyone needs someone sometime, and my time is now.

I'm thankful that my family is all in good health. Even while I'm struggling with my impending unemployment, I know they're safe, stable, and taking care of themselves the way they need to even if it means I can't be with them at all. I wish I could do more to help my dad through his own stress, but…

It happened to me. I originally posted my books to FictionPress and someone on Wattpad plagiarized it. I simply contacted Wattpad through their support system, provided them links to my original books, and they immediately took it down. As long as you can prove it's yours Wattpad is very good about …

As someone with a degree in Computer Arts (emphasis was on game design but I knew half way through the program I hated game design, but unfortunately it was too expensive a school for me to shift to a new major so I just road it out) and a certificate in graphic design I can tell you my pit falls an…

I would definitely never think they're all like that because I've also met quite a few who are open to the idea of pantsing it and wish they could do it. Just for various reasons it's not for them and that's okay.

Honestly I stopped joining writers groups because of how many people were only plotters and swore that was the only way to write and people who are pantsers aren't real writers. Not to mention the people who belittled someone for a simple spelling mistake without taking into any consideration if the…

I agree with this. Some people truly believe plotting is the only way to write "correctly." It's why you find so many people attack pantsers. Reality is other than the technical aspects like following proper grammar there is no right way to write. It's all about what feels natural to the writer. …

They may very well not be isolated to me being a pantser, but I personally feel as though they are. Because if I were a plotter I'd likely know all the details of all characters before I even wrote a word. Yet instead I'm finding out as the reader finds out. But you're absolutely right that we all…

Most of them are little things. Like a character I didn't plan to play a big role suddenly has a bigger role and my reasoning for said role had zero foreshadowing so it comes out of nowhere. Or I'm just not happy with a direction a character is going. Then I'll get some plot holes because I set so…

My Draygon books are 100% me pantsing it, actually all my books are LOL but I only have 2 on Tapas thus far and Guardian of Calandria is the one that I started out with a full plot outline just to see if that would work for me. But by the end of the book very little of that actual outline still rema…

I made this with the help of Inkarnate which is a site that you can make some basic maps for free. They also have a paid version but I've never used it. I did it mostly so I could remember where everything is located at in the world. [image]

Whenever that happens to me that is when I'll find someone to idea bounce off. I'll tell them the problem and we'll just start spitballing solutions that range from serious suggestions to ones that will obviously never work, eventually something sticks and I can get myself out of that corner. As f…

I'm just commenting to say I love you calling yourself the Inksgiving fairy LOL That's super cute! I'm not going to link my book just because I can't give ink to anyone so it doesn't feel right to ask anyone in return, just really loved your title :joy: Makes me picture you fluttering around with glitter…

My favorite is from a supporter that has now supported me 3 times since I unlocked my support option a couple months ago. They call me their favorite author and that absolutely warms my heart, especially right now when everything else around me seems to be falling to pieces. I didn't set a goal sinc…

To me I think it depends on how sentient the blob is. Like if it's sentient like a human would you feel comfortable referring to them as an it? Right now based off the not being able to hear or speak then I'd probably lean toward it being safe to call them it. I had a kind of similar situation in …

I did daily when both my books first launched on Tapas to try to draw in the audience, then dialed it down to twice a week. So far that seems to have worked out well for me since it gives me time to break my chapters into Tapas friendly parts.

I would release it at a pace you can keep for the sequel. That way any readers you do get will know you have a set schedule to get excited for that time. Just because it's somewhere else doesn't mean the Tapas reader will know that. So as far as they're concerned you're brand spanking new and postin…
