Oh, so so so late to this but thank you Oshi! Slowly returning to Tapas and drawing activity! That means reading all of you too hehe!

Hi again! Seeing that my selection was chosen last time (I nomitanted the beautiful Tales From the Afterworld), it is time again to do the same! I think the awesome Tales of the City are also tales that do deserve more views! As to why I love it, it is because it's one of the few speculative fi…

[image] "The threads lead us to this forgotten place. Ah, look, Zephyr. Look. The one hundredth has come. Rejoice, little one." @thel3tterm

I checked since you wrote this and I have to thank you for sharing this. But of course I will draw one of these characters for you!

A nice and friendly driver of a carriage send his bird to meet and have a conversation about morality with a computer. [image]

@DukeOfOool @KillianRain O SONGS OF YESTERDAY, O SONGS OF TOMORROW, ARE THESE THE NUTRIENTS FOR MY CEREBRUM! O ARE THESE THE FOOD OF MY SOUL, THE NOURISHMENT OF MY EGO! You share these interpretations of texts and imagery and I cannot but thank you eternally, friends. . . . But tell me as a …

I have no words now. Really, this is superb. Thank you. <3 (I will answer you in due time. but the next chapter was in the oven and you not deserve less than a prose with fine grandious pomposity).

Ah. I see quite the interest on the mask behind the face (or was it the other way around?). I like this.

Ah, yes, inane questions do nurture mine ego. Do not suffer anymore, O pious follower, for the answers you seek indeed will be revealed. I thank you for your respectful tone, may you cultivate your prose as you sharpen your quill. How many more times will death be mentioned? My guess is at least o…

Ah, it saddens me a bit to start stating what many already suspect. I don't have those answers. But she is no unkown sword in these tales, and I can provide you some facts I discovered about her. The first one is that this sword is an executioner's sword. My guess is as good as yours, but either …

Congrats! I've always loved your profile picture. The premise of your story is quite interesting and refreshing, so I checked. Didn't expect you include illustrations, I liked it! Subscribed.

Thank you a lot. I can see you reaching and leaving behind that number really soon! Will be there congratulating, of course. I noticed that your artwork has an extremely interesting visual style, as does your writing. Did you have any major inspirations for these things? Ah, a nice question. For…

That was quite the tune, now, oh please keep singing. Thank thee, my friend. Thou fare me well to the lands of wealth; at the lands of ruin I await thee.

Where these tales came from? Did they have something that we may call... an origin? Why of course. You may have heard of the Sacred Art of Redrawing. These tales were found as manuscripts written in a time that is yet to come in a language that is to be invented. There is an obscure and enigmatic …

Thank you all. This obviously fills me with joy and determination. The ritual will proceed as stated before, but two statements must be made: @corridorcomix , winner of the character illustration, has not answered in the forums. I messaged them via Tapas web cause I noticed they are active there,…

"Now, my dear, now it's time. Bring your weapons, leave your fear. For we'll have so much blood to find, And one less tale to hear." -Rust Scavenger believed to be heard dwelling west to Spine. . . . You that stayed with me,, come and take sit, so the ritual may proceed. Make a proper bow, a…

I find that if every promotion thread were like this, we all would constantly discover new artists and stories we like. I'm gonna leave mine since I actually checked Lycoris Rising, right abouve me, and seems quite promising. Good job! . . . Edit: I mean, unless people starts spamming their th…

Thank you for the answers, Duke! I toast to great stories and prosperity for TotC.

I have a few questions that I won't mind if can't be answered. Next chapters: ¿will they follow the same characters (princes, Outsider, etc) or will they just appear as secondary characters or not at all? Will they be set in the same period of time? By the name of the story I'm guessing they will…

Hahaha I'm so glad to know. think I can say the same about you. I think reader's imagination must be key to a story; narrative must make you think and wonder, not just assimilate. Storytelling can be a thing of two, an active action and not a passive one. Which better place than a social sharing …

Novels: Especially The Book of the New Sun, by the absolute master Gene Wolfe and any work of fiction by the great Ursula K. Le Guin. Graphic Novels: Particularly stories like Neil Gaiman's Sandman and Alan Moore's Swamp Thing; art like Andrew MacLean's Head Lopper, colours like Tatjana Wood ones…

Congrats, Duke! You deserve much more. Will questions about the lore and universe be answered? Or are you gonna reveal details only with your story?

Oh that's a tune I like to sing, my Duke. :musical_note:

I think the same about subs, having a caring fan base that actually reads and comments is the best thing about this web. By the way, I want to reiterate what @Rhonder said about the link in the bio. I usually check them constantly! Actually I feel I'm missing a lot of comics of this thread.

Bad wording, I'm sorry. In those threads it is absolutely legit and there is nothing wrong with it. What I meant is that they do not make much sense when people do not interact.

Yes, that is absolutely the way to do it.

What drives me crazy about promotion theads is: why does nobody stay and check others? I remember when I started here, I always checked others because it was so OBVIOUS to me that for those threads to work EVERYONE should stay and check one or two comics... It's really basic logic, either everyone c…

Really love Vagabond, good taste! I'm actually in the mood for 50-50 work collabs (and I mean share drawing tasks, co creating a story, editing, etc). Could be fun.

Nope, at all. It does not hurt to participate in promotion threads but I almost never gained subs there. What is worth it is reading others, making friends and interact with people with similar sensitivities, art and tastes to make a loyal and caring fan base. We all are here for the same thing.
