None of my characters have powers or carry much in the way of weapons. It would not go well for them. Andy: he carries some gadgets, but nothing with the area of effect needed to take out 10,000 bees (screwed) Carolina: is almost certainly responsible for the swarm (screwed) Joseph: if Carolina di…

Those look great! I love the way the metal looks.

Newest page went up earlier today! I'm really happy with how it turned out. [image]

My comic takes place some 700-ish years in the future in a backwater star system where everyone went "you know what would be neat? Old west-style things". The two arcs so far have taken place in an asteroid mine and a (supposedly) haunted manor located in the upper atmosphere of a gas giant.

Shading is my least favorite part of drawing, but it really makes a difference. From yesterday's update - without shading: [image] And with shading: [image]

Oof... Enkal would not be good at promotion. I feel like he'd make a tumblr or twitter account for it, massively overthink every post he'd make, and avoid it like the plague after about a week. Carolina and/or Joseph would probably take over and do a much better job of actually using the things, b…

Coloring sketches always makes line art a little harder for me, so I don't really do it.

Does anyone else remember Impossible Creatures? [image] I spent so much time playing this as a kid.

This one's been running for about two years now. If you like light-hearted sci-fi, check it out! All Enkal wanted was a quiet asteroid mining job. Too bad his new employers are also bounty hunters! Now this cowardly space pilot is getting adventure, new friends, and a hunt for a lost alien treasur…

Beowulf Though this was right when Skyrim first came out and my teacher was fluent in old english, so that might have had something to do with it...

Chicken salad, but it has to be made with one specific recipe. Otherwise it just doesn't taste right.

Thank you for making this thread! If you aren't already too swamped with other series, here's my sci-fi/comedy comic.

I'm always down for feedback, if you aren't too swamped by all these! I promise the art gets better than it is in the beginning. Genre: sci-fi/comedy Summary: All Enkal wanted was a quiet mining job. Too bad his new employers are also bounty hunters! Now this cowardly space pilot is getting adve…

I used to play so much Runescape back in the day. Also logged a lot of time playing Zoo Tycoon and Impossible Creatures.

Here's my comic, if any of y'all are interested in a goofy sci-fi adventure story!

I've been told my comic has a Saturday morning cartoon vibe to it, so probably that. Have I spent an unreasonable amount of time imaging the themesong/opening sequence to that hypothetical cartoon? You can't prove anything.

Now that the power's back on, our heroes' next order of business is finding a missing research assistant. But first - the great debate of the future: ghosts? [image]

Definitely looks good for a first attempt. I agree with @TheLemmaLlama about the lines. If you're having trouble keeping them smooth, I'd suggest turning the stabilization up. It can really make a difference! What program are you using?

Let's see... My comic has been running for two years as of last week and I'm about 1 and 1/4 arcs through a planed six... It'll finish in 2029? Maybe?

Comics all the way. I always have a hard time describing what's happening in writing and it's way easier to just... draw it and show the reader.

I know a couple that could do with more attention! First off, Amunito is a straight up masterpiece, with endearing characters, fantastic art, and one of the coolest looking settings I've seen in a long time: Heaven Hunters has art that could compete with Marvel and DC's best, and that is not h…

While art's good for initially catching attention, the story is much more important for me. That said, if the art's too rough that can sink the comic right there. Doesn't matter how good the story is if you can't tell what's going on.

Here's Enkal: [image] Carolina: [image] Joseph: [image] Andy: [image] Sybil-3: [image]

Sure, why not? Thank you for the opportunity! All Enkal wanted was a quiet mining job. Too bad his new employers turned out to be bounty hunters! Now this cowardly space pilot is getting adventure, new friends, and a hunt for a lost alien treasure - whether he wants it or not! Rocksteady Mining …

Building up a buffer. I let it get depleted a while ago and I'd like to build it back up before next month when I know there will be a decent chunk of time where I won't be able to work on my comic.

Here's my comic, if you're interested in some lighthearted sci-fi adventure! The next page goes up in a few hours.

Assuming it's still a thing seven hundred or so years in the future: Carolina: loves Valentine's and gets super into it Andy: meh Enkal: not super into it, but he thinks it's fun Sybil-3: finds the whole thing kind of obnoxious Joseph: Valentine's Day? You mean discount chocolate eve?

Mine is mostly set in and around the Antares System - a galactic backwater some 700 or so years in the future.

Just updated this morning, if anyone is interested in some sci-fi!

Sharks! Specifically great whites, though I have a special place in my heart for hammerheads. Runners up (in rough order) are barn owls, polar bears, cheetahs, and the Chinese giant salamander.
