New festive EP uploaded today!
Recently started a new slice of life series with three adorable elemental shiba dogs. Only two EPs now but will add more in the future! Also uploaded a new spooky season EP today. Feel free to read it here
The first story for a new slice of life comic. Hope you enjoy
Working on a new comic!
I'm a newbie writer so I can't really write that much a day. 600-700 on average. But if I'm in the right mood, like today I can type up to 3k. Wonder how other writers typing 5k a day. I'll be burn out very quickly for 5k a day
Thanks for the sub! I subbed back. Cool opening
Colour palettes are useful! I use a specific pinkish colour tone for my comic. It serves the aesthetic purpose as well as part of the detail of the world-building (the story takes place in the Kingdom of Scarlettia, so it's natural for people to dress in reds and pinks). [image] [image]
Thanks for the promo thread
This is my dream! But unfortunately I'd have to reformat and probably even redo some episode to fit the printed form, especially I'm relying heavily on 3D renders to make the panels. It probably won't sell but I see it as an accomplishment and a reward to the readers who have been supporting me. I a…
Thanks again for the advice! It really prompts me to think what aspects of the world of my story should I add. Maybe some anecdotes, some really interesting stuff that only happens in that world. Like you said, striking a balance of retaining the existent exposition and adding some novelty to it can…
Wow, thank you for the detailed reply! I guess I should manage my expectations accordingly. Making the prequels / spin-offs are fun. No doubt about that. I probably will continue to do so even if the prospects are grim haha. I asked about that because I want to know, aside from the sense of satis…
Mind if I ask how many readers follow you to the spin-off? Is it easier if the media of presentation of the two stories are the same?
I came up with this idea because there are some anime and games like Psycho Pass and Danganronpa adopting this approach. But I guess their success roots in since their excellent writing and the names of prestigious studios or producers. My story is just a one-person production so I probably shouldn'…
Hi everyone! I'm a creator of a webtoon story. The universe of the story has gotten so huge that I feel like I can write prequels and spin-off based in the same universe. It's still in planning stage, nothing concrete yet. I think if making it into a webtoon again the workload would be a bit too hug…
I have been working on my steampunk style fantasy comic called Dawnbreaker. Used to barely meet the deadlines but now I'm 2 EPs ahead of what has been published! Thanks to that I've also launched a fast pass for the story [image] Here's the lastest EP:
Making background is much more easier when you're building the whole environment in 3D, as is experimenting with different angles when taking shots. It is highly customisable and can be reused as many times as you want. There's only one downside I can think of: very time-consuming when you need to b…
Thank you! Yours too! I can feel the serenity from your choice of colours . It's sooooo soothing~
I write about a dystopian fantasy story set in a steampunk future world, in which humans were forced to retreat to Floating Cities that protect them from lethal amount of radioactivity on the now barren earth. Four teens were struggling and decided eventually they should all leave this place forever…
My story updates every two weeks. Because I'm using a mixed 2D and 3D method to make the panels it's always very time-consuming to make one episode. Two weeks is really the best I can do. IMO as long as you communicate with the readers and they agree upon the set schedule it's not much of a problem,…
That can make an interesting story! But there's more drama to that. Feuds and betrayals and revenges and such.
Your cover looks cool! I like the simplistic approach with a touch of colour abberation Here's the poster for my story: [image]
Four teens struggled in a highly segregated dystopian society before deciding to leave this place for good.
okay I think I'll stop spamming after this thread
New EP released!
It's but a dream...
Probably the dreamiest EP I've ever created??
New update has just been released!
Same goal here! I hope we can both achieve this goal in no time [image]
Mine is more primitive. It's like an irresistible urge to create something so that I can vent out my feelings in a way that I can make sense of them, especially now the world has a lot of ridicule going on. I think it's become an important part of me.
