thanks for the advice, i'm learning how to draw, I'll play with the proportions of the body and face.

I was talking about facial proportions in general to be exact.

well, there no universal standards/generalizations, everyone has wider or narrower faces, but which part of their face makes it wide?

There are no consistent way of drawing faces, the width depends on the art style and character.

No. Sorry If I sound like a bot. I do know that Chibis are drawn with wide faces.

artists don't draw the face to scale, I was talking about the face width, depending how artist draws on the surface, they'll be meters long or less than centimeter.

Artists make asymmetrical lines/shapes in faces and they always do it, BTW, there's no golden ratio in art, nothing is ideal though.

Keep mind, there's no consistent width for faces since pencils, pens and stylus on a brush don't make perfect lines for the face, I didn't know that artist had said that.

I'm wondering how artists measure the width of face, there's no standard width of drawing faces, it varies from the art style, age and gender. how many centimeters is a wide and narrow face? how do artists measure it?

Where's this cartoon from, and it's kind of odd that there's a genie in a toilet. EDIT: It's from the adult animated sitcom ''Downstairs''.

Genies are commonly summoned by rubbing on a lamp or a bottle, but there are genies that are summoned in the funniest ways, what are some notable movies and TV shows of genies with funny ways of summoning rather than the usual rubbing on a lamp/bottle summoning?

Same here, I also go with 5 heads high characters too, although I don't draw that much.

Head-to-body ratios in visual art depends on the art style and bodies in visual art are different depending on the art style, Human adults are 7 heads to 7 1/2 heads in real life, regular 7 heads tall human adults have large heads and 6 heads tall human adults have large heads too, in art head-to-b…

It's called Mickey Mouse Clubhouse but it's called Mickey and Friends in whatever native language you have.

There's countless web animation that uses paperless hand-drawn animation and countless independent animated short films.

2D is backloaded and 3D is frontloaded with work, that's good to know.

Don't say animation isn't a drawing by nature, animation by nature is a 2D drawing, a 3D rig or a stop-motion model, animation comes in all shapes and forms. It's a valid fact that 2D animation is a drawing or a 2D rig that is from a 2D drawing since you heard people say it in documentaries or artic…

Yeah, There's nothing about blowing your nose in public in Japan, no wonder Japanese people think like that.

Although the origins of the snot bubble in anime is unclear just like the origins of the snot bubble in manga is unclear, but the earliest known use in anime is a Norakuro short that I watched on YouTube a few days ago and it was from 1937: [image] To put simply, it's just a bubble coming out of Nor…

Yeah, whether the original language that the person was speaking did not know what 2D animation is made out of, 2D animation is an illusion of movement, so you don't actually see a moving image, you actually see still drawings in a sequence, but put them a display very fast enough and you get the il…

I'm sorry that I was wrong on the thread, here's a screenshot of the answer on Brainly: [image] This made me a little confused, there is no difference between drawing and animation, a drawing is a still image and animation is series of still drawings that create the illusion of a moving picture and …

Thanks for the advice! although animation is separate from illustrative work, animation is art, whether drawn or 3D and they are different than illustration.

I won't be talking about this, I just needed to get it out of my system, this thread is over.

AI animation is just animation made by AI, the writer behind the question is just grammar mistake, Here is proof that 2D animation is drawn: [image] [image] [image] this illustration of an animator drawing a ball on paper. even flipbook animations are drawn, too. Writer of the question that I saw …

Yeah, a moving drawing, but it's not a moving drawing, it's still drawings, by nature, it's drawings or 3D models or stop-motion puppets.

When I was browsing on Google, one of the results I stumbled was a link to a page from the Brainly website with the answer falsely stating that animation is not drawings, animation is drawings, we can see the outlines of the characters that are drawn and animation is hand-drawn, animation that is n…

All people are born female and born male, this is getting way too off-topic.

Sorry about if the thread doesn't make any sense, Art isn't 100% realistic and stylized like you said and a lot of characters are drawn with different proportions depending on the art style, I'll watch expert videos on proportions later if I have time, Thank you for advice and this thread is over no…

Yeah, I know but we're not talking about dimensions in the torso in this thread.
